I know some people here probably care about CoD. Seems pretty cookie cutter to me and trying to be all futuristic by stealing ideas from other franchises (the planes look a lot like Crysis to me and the mech, well Titanfall. Some of the weapons look like Destiny). Well, this years title has been announced and is called Advanced Warfare and is not surprisingly coming out in November. Don't think I'll need to go into the gameplay or anything cause its CoD but here's the trailer :)

nice graphic, although it has this slight black crush on the picture and possibly white crush too. they usually darken the black level on the xbox one games.
does a new call of duty game come out like every year or something? how does it get so popular though if its come out yearly?
-
Yeah. They have 3 studios develop CoD games so they can get them out every year.

in just a couple days since the trailer release, it got 9 million+ views on youtube. that's very impressive. can't believe this game is that popular.

I can't believe its still as popular as it is. Every year it is the same game. Activision even said they don't plan on changing the formula on how the game is made. I really feel every release they have doesn't add anything to the franchise so that's why I don't play it anymore. Why pay 60 bucks every year for the same game that I lose interest in. I had fun playing Black Ops but I'm over it now.

i remember the first shooting game in 3-d that i play was blake stone in the late 90s maybe 97 or 98. it a demo on floppy disk for computer. i had so much fun with that game. there are no polygons on that game, so the characters look pixilated and i like the innocent part of me that time about not knowing what pixelation or polygons is.
i remember walking down one of the hall in this building in the game, and i approach a scientist, and this scientist asked me, "do you know what time is it?" Then the scientist said, "its time for you to die." that was freaky as he pulled out a gun and shoot me. I remember the game is about killing monsters probably aliens, bad scientists, and soldiers too -if i remember correctly. although it was a demo only, but i had great fun playing it quite a number of times from either after i got killed or replay it to explore the area more.
Afterward, i try Doom and i think its also a demo but i didn't really explore the area much. i think i load one of the save file and it show enemies or soldiers already dead in the game laying down on the floor - either that or the cave building place is empty. i explore for a little bit but i couldn't find any monsters or soldiers to attack. maybe the save data already had most of the enemies and soldiers killed or something. i played a little bit of it once then i stop.
From experience, i can understand why people like 3-D shooting game so much. But unfortunately, i mostly lost interest in videogames though 4 - 5 years later after high school. too much addiction to gaming is bad, but too little to no interest in gaming is not good either to me.

yea i stopped paying attention to COD after modern warfare 2. Might give it a chance if it's a proper 'Next Gen' title though

same here, last COD I played was MW2. I think it might have been the last FPS I have played full stop, at least on console.
I just got bored of the franchise I think.
