"Spice Constructors is hot on the PS2 development front. While not working on any actual games, these boys and girls are working on the tools used to make the games, and their latest tool may end up being used by many PS2 developers world over.
New from the company is the ProDG for PlayStation 2 Version 1.2, an update to the company\'s September 1999 PS2 development environment. This new software allows developers to access more features of the PS2 and have better control over the multiple processors in the system during debugging. Weeeeeeeeee!!!! Additionally, the kit includes support for Vector Unit debugging, meaning more developers should be able to make use of the PS2 the way crazy Kutaragi envisioned.
So maybe we\'ll start seeing real next generation games from even the smaller developers out there."

Sounds very intresting, and then they will maybe develop some Yaroze program, who knows?
Agree with Unicron, it wasn\'t THAT funny....

That\'s great news. But wasn\'t Sony also meant to deliver some new dev kits/librarys for developers some time ago (or soon)? I just think I heard that sometime in the past. Well, they\'ll get better at the hardware as time goes by anyway. Just look at some of the upcoming games - they look great and they\'re hardly even second gen.
-
yes, people just expected too much at launch
sony will produce what everybody saw earlier, it just won\'t be as fast as everybody wants
-
Oh and its to not too.
It\'s, Not Its J/K
I thought it was quite amusing.
Oh well can\'t please them all.
Indeed this is good news. The fan boy flame about ps2 not being easy too ROGRAM for will be over.
Now only if they learnt how to program for it. J/K

Programming is only hard for the \'lazy\' programmers - this has been said many times by EA, Hodji Kiyama (or whatever MGS Creator)
I agree, if EA and the people who made timesplitters can create thse graphics we see b4 our eyes, then why can\'t whoever is complaining about it.
Question: Come to think of it, who is complaining about difficult programming for the ps2?

I must agree that EA does have a point.
