I read in the PS2 letters on Daily Radar that you can use a mouse with Silent Scope. Has anybody here tried this? If not does anybody own it? Does the instruction manual mention this?
I rented it from Blockbuster, but my Blockbuster doesn\'t automatically give you the instructions unless you ask (they don\'t fit in the cases).

I haven\'t tried the game, but IGN had a story about it a couple of weeks ago. They said that you could use any USB mouse. It was easiest with a mouse with three buttons though, if I remember correctly. :)
-
Damn! I really hope that this also works on the pal version, I have the latest logitech mouse (optical, man it\'s soo sweeeet!), and to my pleasure I found it was USB!!!!!!
-
Why the **** would you wanna use a mouse on Silent Scope? That is the equivalent to holding a light gun up RIGHT up to an arcade cabinet...Damn Cheaters
-
Relax man, it\'s just a game! :)
-
Yes, I know. But why play a game if it isnt going to be fun. I mean using a mouse to shoot enemies, FUN???
-
I don\'t think that playing it with a game pad is anywhere close to realistic either :)
I wanted to play it with a mouse because that\'s what I\'m used to doing my sniping with in Unreal Tournament on my PC.
-
Hey chill out! How about playing strategy games with a mouse?
-
Strategy games fine, but not a game where you have to snipe out enemies from quite a long distance. They made the crosshairs on the game hard to control because a ****in rifle is hard to control too IMO.
-
Yes it can...
BTW, when will Sony lower prices on their MP3 players?
-
screw a mouse when is konami going to come out with a f*cking light gun for ss.
-
uhh...where did you hear that? WHy would they come out with a light gun for a **** game that has been out for 2 months already. If they do...kinda late, dontchya think.
-
Umm, Matt, you suggested..."I mean using a mouse to shoot enemies, FUN???" Excuse me, but are you suggesting that all them folks out their fraggin\' their butts off in Half-Life, Quake III, etc., ain\'t having any fun??? So why not let RatBoy assume that he might just have as much fun with using a mouse in Silent Scope?

HELLO! Obviously you havent played Silent Scope, because SS and Quake/Half Life are totally different. They are First Person Shooters. SS is in a genre of its own. Anyway, can we end this ****in\' topic, cuz Silent Scope on home consoles is gay as hell anyway.
-
Yep MattPS2k, you\'re right. I have not played Silent Scope. But I have played other light-gun games such as the Time Crises series, Point Blank, etc. If I didn\'t have a gun available (as is true of Silent Scope), and I were forced to use a "regular" controller, I\'m pretty sure I\'d break that controller in total disgust rather quickly. So if I\'m to presume that RatBoy asked b/c he\'s into light-gun games, then given the experience I *do* have with using a mouse in FPS\'s such as UT, my assumption was that a mouse would be at least a better avenue of gameplay/control than a controller. But again, I\'ve never actually played Silent Scope, so perhaps I shoulda kept my trap shut.

PS. Now I\'ll take your advice and "end this ****\'in topic" :D
