Here is a very good graphic comparison of this game between ps3 and ps4. Keep in mind this is from the Beta version. the first thing i notice right away is that the ps4 has a lot more improve texture details. Much higher resolution texture detail than the ps3 version.
The second thing i notice is the light reflection looks better on ps4 where light reflect on characters while ps3 has little light reflection. The third and last thing i notice is the contrast ratio from dark to light is much higher on the ps4. the ps4 has a lot better contrast ratio, maybe its the dynamic range than the ps3.
Overall, the ps4 version looks very CG, even in close up of characters. Very cool.

the 4th thing i notice is the polygon counts look much higher on the ps4 than the ps3. i had to really pay attention to notice it.
last but not least, the 5th thing is the resolution of the game. the ps4 is in 1080p while the ps3 is 720p. Although the laptop i am using right now to watch is only in 768p, i still could see a bit finer detail of the ps4 version than the ps3.

Pretty neat little comparison. It looks pretty good on both consoles actually. So if you don't have a PS4, you can definitely live with it on PS3. Not like Destiny where the PS3 graphics are just abysmal, lol.

I liked the first two games on PS3, was so much fun online and some of the user created levels were brilliant.

I never got the second. Don't know why. Loved the first and still pop it in once in a while. I think I missed the second only because I got another game at the time and just never picked it up. I'm intent on getting this one. May actually have a game to get my girlfriend to play. Though she always turns Sacboy into a bunny :/

I played the heck out of the first one a long time ago with my (then) girlfriend. We broke up before getting 100% and before the online community had taken off (did it ever?)
I didn't play the second and haven't been keeping up with the series. What changes should I be expecting from the very first game to this? Has the series evolved much?
