Wow. That looks incredible. Not sure which I like more. The white or the grey. So far they've come out with three colors. Each sexier than the last.
-
looks cool. they also bring back multicolor logo on the console and on the controller too. might as well post pics here. :)

Damn. I didn't even notice the symbol at first. Yeah, that's pretty hot. Part of me wishes I knew of this model ahead of time. Would have waited to get my PS4. Don't get me wrong, the white one is sexy as hell as well but this one is only being made, from what I read, in much more limited quantities. So to me, it has that 'not everyone has it' factor.
-
prefer the standard black model to be honest.

Well within 25 seconds of the pre order link going live it immediately crashed due to exessive demand. Looks like they all sold out now, at least in the US.
I guess a few will appear on ebay now for stupid money.
EDIT : one is on sale fore over $15,000

Jesus. Average is 2 grand. Wish I had that kind of expendable income. No doubt these will probably be collectors items.
-
wow. must be some very rich folks buying these consoles at those prices.

Check this out. They just auctioned off the first 20th Anniversary edition off the assembly line and went for 15 million yen or 129,000USD. That is insane! Even if that went on auction 10 or 20 years from now, I highly doubt this person will see that investment again.

The online auction for the world's rarest PlayStation 4 has ended, with the console selling for an incredible ¥15.135 million, or about $129,000, The Wall Street Journal confirmed on Monday.
What made the console so rare? The system in question was a 20th Anniversary PS4 console, but not just any unit; it was the first of only 12,300 ever produced, making it the ultimate collector's item.
The PS4 was sold through Yahoo! Auctions, open only to bidders in Japan. It received more than 1,500 bids before closing yesterday, January 25.
"We appreciate all who participated in the auction and are surprised at the highest bid price, which was higher than our expectations," a Sony representative told WSJ.
Sony is now in the process of reaching out to the auction winner to arrange for payment. Per Sony's original agreement, it will donate the price paid for the system, along with a matching donation, to Save the Children Japan. That means Sony will give a gift of around $258,000 to the charity.
Sony released the 20th Anniversary PS4 in December 2014 to celebrate the original PlayStation's launch in Japan in December 1994. Units sold out in a matter of minutes. For everything you need to know about the console, check out GameSpot's unboxing video below.

whoa! That's a lot of money. The very cool thing about it is the money went to charity and sony also double that amount for charity too.

The winning bidder of Sony's limited edition 20th anniversary PlayStation 4 has backed out from the auction after placing a bid of ¥15,135,000, or around $129,000, for the rare console earlier this year, Famitsu reports.
It's unclear why the bidder, who remains anonymous, has pulled out. Sony, however, will donate the same amount to the Save The Children Japan charity as planned. The company will also keep the machine...

interesting that the bidder backed out from paying the $129,000. the very cool thing is sony will still donate the same amount to the Save The Children Japan charity.

Oh that's a shame. Back to ebay it goes :D
-
He probably was a time waster who had no intention of paying that kind of money as he couldn't afford it.
These machines never went on sale here in the UK and were only available via cryptic online competitions via Sony Europe. Still a very rare item.
