Just was having this discussion with my girl and couldn't find the answer on Google. Do English people toast their English muffins like the Americans do?
-
I think I would if I had them but I never have. I don't know anyone else who eats them either.

You don't have English muffins in England? Is this an entirely American invention and we eat them because we think they're foreign? BTW, it's amazing how many Americans really don't know that French fries did not come from France or fortune cookies were invented in California

i didn't know french fries and fortune cookies come from california until now. interesting. :) i guess way to go california.

I dont think French fries came from Cali. I don't remember where they were invented. Fortune cookies I'm like 90% sure were invented in California.
Edit: I actually need to retract what I said about French fries. Were not originated in America. Bitter dispute between Belgium and France on who started frying potatoes in fry form. Since I dont like France and I like chocolate, gotta side with the Belgium's on this one ;)

I don't think I've ever had an english muffin, let alone one that was toatsed.
I do like my crumpet buttered and covered in cheese though.
