how old is your previous pc and how much did you bought that time?  and how much did you spent on your new pc?

8 TB of HDDs.  wow.  why did you need that much storage?

Damn dude, with those specs, it's sounds expensive :p Though very impressive. I'm still rocking the first gen i7. I definitely need to upgrade my graphics card too. You have pics?

old pc was about 6 years old. I had updated the GFX card / psu a a month ago.
Needed to update rest to get full use of card and be able to run vive / oculus without problems.

I spent about

Corsair Vengeance LPX $149.00
Gigabyte GA-H170-HD3 Motherboard    $169.00
Intel Core i7 6700    $455.00

Antec High Current Gamer Modular 850W Power Supply  $195.00
MSI Radeon R9 390 GAMING, 8GB  $535.00

all up about $1500 AUD. Not much really.

I already have a Sound Blaster Recon3D Fatal1ty Champion for sound card.

i have a antec 1kw psu. I thought it was playing up. I got a feeling there is nothing wrong with it. I'll use it for a cocktail arcade i plan on building.

Storage was for all my gaming / movie needs. I have a NAS now that has 6 TBs on it which i use to store all the stuff, so most of my hdds are empty space.

I have some pics but didn't take any of the inside when finished.  Here are some including my old mobo / cpu.  Some of the inside on a shitty angle. My pc sits to the left of my desk against a wall so it's hard to see inside it.

sounds very good and looks cool.  I just did the money converter from google and $1,503 Australian dollars equal about $1,135 U.S. dollar.  That is still a lot of money.  you must be pretty rich.  very cool.  what will be your first game on this new pc that you built?

1100 ain't too bad for a custom computer. I spent 1400 I believe on mine like 5-6 years ago I believe. I've upgraded the hard drives on mine in that time but I still have all the original hardware otherwise. Good to see what Souly paid so I can get an idea on what an upgrade on mine will cost ;) Though I have apartment hunting and shit going on now and paying off a laptop so it may still be a while :)

Lol. I'm not rich. It cost me most of what I had at the time. I make more now but with cost of living, I don't really save a whole lot. I make a little over the national average.

i make under the national average. That being said i make more money then most people i know, so i have no idea how they get the average. I've only meet a few people that make 74k and more (average). Most of them work in the mining sector or have their own business.

Well, when they pay you in woodchips, I can see why you make under the national average :p
