It's kinda boring living on my own with my own thoughts. So I'm getting a kitty hopefully this week. Found an adoption place and they said it's same day adoption. Got the basics already (just need to buy food, lol) so Friday, I get out of work early on Friday so it may be the day! Expect pics :)
Also, I haven't forgotten about showing off pics of my condo. Haven't shared them yet because it's still a work in progress and want to publicly show it off when I have it in a decent spot :)

sounds cool. :)

Here's some pics of my kitten. I adopted her from a shelter about 5-6 weeks ago. These are about a month old. Finally got them off my camera and edited them :)
Her name is Maya (named after the Siren from Borderlands 2). She's super sweet. Energetic which is what to expect from a kitten. Also, editing these photos took me 4x as long as usual because of her jumping up and sitting in front of the monitor lol. She's also gotten fluffier. I'm pretty sure she's a mix. The shelter I got her from said she was a domestic shorthair. With that tail, her curiosity with water and the tufts of hair on her paw pads, I think she has some Maine Coon in her. Her hair has also grown out more in the month since these pics were taken.

This is us a couple weeks ago before I went on vacation. She's gotten slightly bigger but not much. Notice the tufts of fur on the pads of her paws which is why I think she might be part Maine Coon.

And a friend just stopped over my place so this is the last one I'm editing tonight. Also a little over a month ago. I'll get some more recent photos of her and you can see how she's grown :)

nice pics. how old is she? what kind of cameras did you use to take these pics? i think the pics you taken with the kitten alone you used a different camera than the pic you used to take the pic of the kitten with you in it. why i think that its because of the different aspect ratio of that pic compares to other pics.
last question, do you like puppies/dogs too beside kittens/cats?
-
She's about 4 months old. I got her at 3 months. Yeah. The shot with the two of us were shot on my cellphone the others were on my 7D.
I don't hate dogs and puppies. I just prefer cats. They're affectionate and you can leave them to their own devices too. Also I don't have to walk a cat :)

last night i just read the camera info of your canon 7D and it has very good review for taking still pictures and video recording. its a 2009 model so its not that old. :)
i know you don't hate dogs and puppies. just curious if you like them too beside cats and kittens. i am more of a dog person i suppose. i love kittens/cats, but i think i love puppies/dogs a bit more. you made a good point about having to walk a dog when with cat, you don't have too. Speaking of which, i realize kittens/cats don't bite while puppies/dogs might bite say if a stranger's dog might bite me if i happen to walk by or pass it. interesting.

That's a nice pussy you have there  :p

Thanks Kurt. She's not afraid of water so I regularly have wet pussy on my hands ;)

Shot this picture today while browsing the interwebs. Just a quick cell phone shot.

i guess with this pic, you cropped the top and bottom of the pic to get 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. nice pic. it looks like she grown bigger here. it kind of amazes me how much she has grown in just one and a half month.
btw, I noticed you have a Logitech speakers on your pic? what is the sound quality of this speakers sound like? how much did you bought it? what model if you don't mind me asking.

No cropping. I don't even think I edited that one. That's just how my camera takes photos.
The Logitech speakers are ok. Can't complain for the 20 or 30 bucks I paid for them. Only thing I wish I was able to do was adjust the subwoofer. But when my computer speakers died, I was in the process of looking for a house/condo so I didn't want to buy expensive speakers. But for 20-30 bucks they're worth it. Sound quality isn't as good as more expensive speakers but were definitely the best quality for my price range at the time. The Polk Audio speakers they replaced were a little better quality. But I like Logitech products. I have a 5.1 surround sound set on my TV and PlayStation. The quality of those is amazing for the 70 I paid for those.

oh i see. i thought you edited and cropped this picture to get 16:9 aspect ratio. i was wrong. maybe your camera has 16:9 aspect ratio option when taking pictures or record videos for that matter. it just does it by cropping the top and bottom of the image sensor to get that aspect ratio.
nice about the price tag you spent on the computer speakers and the $70 5.1 surround sound speakers for your home theater. is your 5.1 speakers for your home theater is also logitech too?
-
Yeah. My TV speakers are also Logitech. Though I don't have the rear satellite speakers hooked up. The way my living room is set up, I would have to have the wires run along the floor and that makes a tripping hazard. So I only have the 3 front speakers and the subwoofer hooked up right now. When I lived at my parent's, the way my room was set up, I was able to run the wires along the wall. They aren't long enough to do that now. Only other way I could think to set it up now is run the wires on the carpet and tape them down, which would look awful. Eventually, I want to get a receiver and some speakers, preferably wireless. Since I'm still spending money setting my condo up, a new sound system is pretty low on my priority list now, unless I come across a good deal.

sound nice. i thought you live or used to live with your girlfriend on your own seperate house or apartment?

No. My ex and I broke up like a year and a half ago. We were talking about getting our own place and then she went cuckoo.

No but at least this one loves me unconditionally :D Besides, if I want the real thing, I'd go on Tinder like a normal person......followed by the doctor for a shot of penicillin

Did a little photo shoot with Maya today. Entering her in my office's pet costume contest. Here are the results! She's also getting bigger and fluffier. I was surprised how easy this went. She doesn't like her costume, lol.

poor maya, she doesn't looks happy. maybe the costume is a bit small on her. yeah, it does looks like she grown a bit more here. what place did she got on the contest?
