Post by: on December 16, 2000, 04:14:32 PM
Does anyone know if a ps2 version of ISS (made by the people who made Pro Evolution - NOT the one made by the people who made the N64 version) is being made for the PS2, and if so, when is it coming out?

Well, there\'re not much information but yes, Konami is working now in WE 5( AKA ISS 5) for the PS2. It\'s release date is 15-March-2001 in Japan. I don\'t know the US/Europe release date, but here\'s a pic( still in development):

(https://psx5central.com/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sonyweb.com%2Fmedia%2Fmiscnews%2F1213mike11.jpg&hash=ec02eb756df59b0115f1cbfa429b0c449f4a8ed8)

This game is in my 2001 wishlist too :)

WE 5 is my MOST anticipated PS2 game by far (even more than MGS2), unfortunately I don\'t know if it will make it to North America as ISS Pro Evolution 2 (or whatever it will be called). Konami ARE releasing another ISS game here in North America called ESPN MLS ExtraTime http://ps2.ign.com/previews/15724.html (Ignore IGN\'s comments, they don\'t know the first thing about soccer, but take a look at the screenshots and videos). You can see this game is probably a PS2 port of Winning Eleven 2000 (which is basically an upgrade of the ISS Pro Evolution/Winning Eleven 4 engine).

I sure hope Gameshark 2 lets you play import games!

In the next one, I hope they make batistuta faster, he\'s not fast enough in the master league! Oh well, still didn\'t stop me scoring 56 goals with him in the one season, including a 10 goal romping from 12 shots in one game:)

THEN DON\'T POST/SPAM IN THIS THREAD!

On the topic:
I can\'t wait to try out ISS Pro Evo. 2. I think it\'ll be better than FIFA (though I enjoyed that as well). But ISS Pro Evo. 2 should smoke it out of the water. ;)

Yeah, and they have a licence too. No more changing EVERY players name anymore (it took me about 1 and a half hours damn it!!)

ISS for the N64 is the supposed king of all soccer games out there from all the reviews i\'ve read. if the same team that did that version is working on PS2 rev then then soccer fans get ready

Um. Okay. Thanks for telling us that.

That game looks sweet. Like someone mentioned (too lazy to check) lets hope the GameShark 2 lets us play imports like on the DC. I was never a fan of getting my system modd\'ed, so it would be great if so, that way I can get some PS2 imports (like the game in the "WTF???" thread!).

I don\'t know what this attitude these people carry with me now is, I was voicing my opinion, don\'t we have the freedom to do so.  Call it football, but in america it is soccer.  I am sick of people calling me a spammer when I am not, you are just spamming for calling me a spammer, therefore making you a spammer. In the end it turns out the so called "spammer" was right after all, and the accuser, well, he turned out to be a spammer.

Oh please.

You are a spammer. Don\'t try and twist this into something it\'s not. Someone had to turn your attention to this matter, as you surely don\'t look as if you\'re willing to do something about it yourself. It doesn\'t change the fact that you reply to nearly every thread with just one line of nothing. That is what I would classify as spam.

Just look at the main forum right now. You are listed as the last one to have replied to 25+ threads. And I can give you many examples for your spam if you\'d like. So even if someone points out your spam, they don\'t use even 1/100th of the posts you do to \'spam\'. But I forgot, it\'s "your right"...

BTW, I\'m impressed. You wrote four lines of text.

Anybody from Britain or Europe watch EPL..Liverpool just beat Manchester.

Fifa ps2:

Does anybody notice that the player\'s head is a bit too large for the body...furthermore the goalkeeper is unrealistic as all short range strike the guy can save the ball.Overall its still a good game.

Actually, the widely acclaimed (mostly in Europe and the rest of the World) king of all soccer games is ISS Pro Evolution on the PSX made by Konami\'s KCET team, Konami\'s KCEO team made the more arcade-like N64 versions of ISS98, and also Jikkyou World Soccer for the PS2 (the Konami soccer game that\'s out now).

Samwise, DailyRadar UK did a preview of ISS Evo 2 (which is the European Version of Winning Eleven 2000):

Sounds Great!

That was the biggest amount of rhetoric I have ever read. You do SPAM. You post 20+ news articles at a time because you say its your "job". Then you reply to things with one line of text like "yeah". Dude, if more then a few people are carrying an attidude with you, there is probally a reason. For the record, we can make it to IGN or another site. You don\'t have to post every small piece of news.

As for the "football, soccer" debate. Its football there, soccer here. I can\'t call it football, cause then I\'d get confused.

Hehe, yes I\'m a huge Liverpool fan from back when I used to live in England - first time United lost at home for two years so it\'s a pretty damn good result. Take that you Mancs! :) Could have been more as well if Owen had of brought his shooting boots!

I haven\'t yet played Fifa 2001 for the PS2, but I\'ve played the PC and PSX versions and they\'re just too shallow and arcade-like for me (just my opinion), ISS Pro Evolution owns me.

Sam, I had a lot of respect for you.  Then you turned into this guy who likes to critisize people for not writing enough.  If anything, voicing my opinion about liking or disliking a game should be accepted.  Are you telling me when I say whether I like a game or not I have to write a whole report.  As for my article posting, I like people to read the articles on the site because theya re ntoo lazy to find it themselves, and that is how like to start conversations.  I like it here at the PSX2Central, and I want you to accept me for who I am, and not for who you want me to be.

BTW, it\'s really easy for me to reply to a lot of topics in a short amount of time with a T3 modem, so it\'s not like I sit here all day and watch what happens.  I have plenty of other things to do(school, wrestling, going to the movies, ahnging out with friends, making a date with my girlfriend)

So, would you please put this behind us, and just accept me, and the rights I have to express myself.

I agree, I reckon Fifa 2001 rocks too, and I don\'t know why most reviewers rate ISS (the one out at the moment) better than Fifa 2001.  I reckon WE5 will be batter than Fifa, but Fifa 2001 is the best football game out at the moment

Evo2 sounds great.

The most significant thing in that I\'m looking forward to is the Injuries.
And in the screen shots I noticed they have some sponsers on the boards now, not just KECT/Konami. I saw Adidas there.
