So I was playing my ps2 and got uo to say bye to some people who visited my family, when my 3 year old niece tripped over the controllers, dropping my ps2 to the carpet. Take in consideration that my ps2 fell about 4ft, really hard into the carpet. Anyway, I tried playing today and it was all good but now it ejects the games while I\'m playing. ALso, sometimes it dooesn\'t turn on when i turn it on. Tomorrow, I\'m going to call sony and tell them that suddenly I\'ve been having problems, of course not telling them the full story. SO, has anyoen had to deal with sony and how are they about getting it repaired or replaced? Also, any advice would be cool!

Welp mine did the same thing but luckily I was able to box it up take it back to my store and receive a new one, you\'ve probably had yours for too long to do that.
I hate controller wires and am patiently awaiting quality RF dual shocks to hit the market. I have a dog and a cat so I\'m always nervous

An infra red controller sure is handy here.

I don\'t have any pets or smaller siblings so I don\'t have that problem but if I did I would definitely invest in an IR controller. Oh, and Daryl, I liked your old pic better.

I\'m a little skeptical about how accurate those will be with analouge buttons. If they can pull it off, more power to them. But I know I would be the first to blame the controller if I screwed up while playing a game :p, especially if the infra-red had to differentiate not only the between the different buttons, but 256 different levels of sensitivity.

I have kids and a dog. I got the extension cables cuz I sit on a couch and play about 12 feet from the bigscreen. I set the PS2 on my shelf system and you can tug on a cable but the lip of the shlef will keep it from falling. The worst that will happen is the controller will pop out.

my ps2 stopped working after 3 days, i phoned sony and told them what was wrong and they arranged to send a replacement out 7 days later. it didn\'t turn up so i phoned to find out why and they told me someone f****d at their end and i\'d have to wait another 10 days for a new machine. i sent a letter to their customer service manager complaining about the delay and got no reply until the day when my new ps2 arrived. someone from sony phoned, i had a right go at him and he appologised and sent me a couple of ps2 games as compensation.

Thank goodness I don\'t have this problem. My PS2 sits on the bottom shelf of my entertainment center in a room where no one comes in, except me. Well, two cats, but I have no fear of them somehow tipping it, as they are "well behaved" cats.
