This is a big milestone in my game collecting. Since COVID started and I began getting serious about my game collection (always was proud of it, but it's since ballooned!), I've amassed consoles and games and even built a custom TV stand to house all these console. It's still growing. As I started to inch closer and closer to 300, I decided my 300th game should be something special. Ever since I was a wee lad (even before I joined this site!), I spent countless hours with the Summer 2000 PlayStation Underground demo CD playing the demo to Legend of Dragoon. It was also a game over the years I'd pop onto eBay and check to see if it was available and the prices. It always went for more than other PS1 games so I never pulled the trigger. That is until I got closer to 300. I decided to commemorate it by finally purchasing a black label version of Legend of Dragoon. I found a seller that sold this copy in damn near pristine condition for the actual value of the game (and not inflated as eBay normally does lol). So for 54 bucks I got one of my white whales. Started playing it last night and it is just so damn fun.

congratulations on your 300th game collection. wow. you are more hardcore than i thought collecting that many games. if it makes you happy then sure why not. why don't you just buy it off psn where it probably sells the digital copy of psone game at either $9.99 or $4.99. its much cheaper than buying the physical copy though. glad you have fun playing it. i like legend of dragoon too, especially the art direction, story, and the music. the gameplay is fun at the first playthrough. like the 3rd or the 4th playthrough, i got bored of it though but that its just me though.
speaking about inflated, i think i have an inflated ego. either i probably or definitely have an inflated ego but i thought who doesn't and its not a crime though. but i didn't exaggerate my creativity or my talent though. even if i did, its not a crime and i have been punished so much for 6 years and 7ish months of my life for something i am innocent of. even if i am a guilty, that is way too excessive punishments toward me though. i am not referring this to you titan, i am referring this to joe biden and his administration though for abusing his powers toward me. surprisingly, donald trump first 5 months of president i was less miserable than the first 5 months of joe biden being president.
i hope i get more peace and not get anything more miserable punishments from now on though. speaking about peace, this past 10 to 10ish days of my life, i was a lot less miserable though and i am thankful for that. hopefully i get lifetime of peace and calm though and no more punishments toward me.

I don't do digital copies of games if physical is available. It's more to me about having a collection than just playing the game. Besides, eventually, if I buy it digitally, the console I download it to will cease to function. If they take the PSN network down on say a PS3, I won't be able to download it again then I'm shit out of luck. With a physical copy, I buy a working console, pop it in and away I go. It's more about preservation.

Yeah. I use the PS2 slim hooked up to the Trinitron. Only way to play PS1 games IMO. I tried streaming a PS1 game on Twitch with my fat PS2 hooked up to my HDTV and it didn't work. If I want to play PS1 games on my HDTV I have to use my PS3 for it. Which does a phenomenal job btw.

yeah. i have another question, does your ps1 and ps2 games look better on the trinitron crt tv than on your hdtv, even when you hooked up your ps3 to your hdtv via hdmi connection? does say like the color looks better on your sony trinitron crt tv than on your hdtv?

PS1 games, definitely. But the PS3 does a pretty good job upscaling and making the games look good on an HDTV. So if you don't have a tube TV but want to play PS1 games on an HDTV because that's all you have, the PS3 is the way to go. But they were designed in an era before HDTVs were a thing so naturally they'll look better on a tube. PS2 games are a different story and it comes down to "it depends". A lot of PS2 games have alternate display modes which output to 480p and some to 1080i. If a game does 480p it looks just as good on an HDTV as a tube tv (for example, God of War looks incredible at 480p as does ATV Offroad Fury 2 and Guitar Hero 3). Battlefront and Battlefront 2 look awful on an HDTV but it only does 480i. That's actually why I have one PS2 hooked up to each lol. My Gamecube is only on my tube TV because my model only has analog outputs (it's the newer model without the digital port that can do 480p). My OG Xbox is hooked up to my HDTV, but the Xbox does 480p at all times and the games look good on my HDTV. And quite a few games can do 720p or 1080i. Not bad for the early 2000s!

i see. cool. if my memories serve me correctly, i find that in some way the color on my sony crt tv via component input looks better than my 4k120 oled tv via hdmi input while in other way, my oled tv has like more color or something like that. that is for ps1 games where overall the sony trinitron display better color rendition like better sensitivity than my oled but i still love my oled though. i haven't used my sony crt ever since i got my oled and it has been kept aside.
