Title: Happy Birthday guar
Post by: Paul2 on July 11, 2021, 08:07:44 PM

:hb: Happy Birthday guar. :hb:

the song is very short and one in nes version while the other one in snes remastered version.  for some reasons when i did the a/b comparison of the nes and snes version.  it sounds different as if it has different chord progressions or something like that which is beyond my head.  i think i prefer the nes version more though.  i didn't bother adding another song here because that would make 4 songs clip here if i include the remastered version of it.

correction: one day later i listened to these 2 music clips again and realized they are 2 different songs.  no wonder it sounds different.  the 2nd song here has the wrong name to the song so that is why i mistaken it as the same song as the first song.  i am so dumb at times.  sorry about that.

the 2nd song is actually the congratulation winning song when you match all 3 slots, not the bonus game theme.  i am so dumb sometimes.  again, sorry about that.

another correction:  the 2nd song is not the winning theme song (aka fanfare) either.  that just prove to you how dumb i can be and how i can be wrong at times.  i just listened to it on youtube and some commentators said they never heard of this song before.  some also said it must be an unused song so i guess that might have been the case though.  so the leave me with the question where is the snes remastered version of bonus game theme is since i couldn't find it on youtube?

finally found the song.  it was shown on the front page of youtube website today and i clicked on it and i compared to the first song on this forum's page and it has the same melody.  i played it several times just to be sure its the same song and beside, i have trouble paying attention anyway.

Anyway, here is the song for comparison:

oh, so on this song, i think i prefer nes version more as it plays in higher keys while the snes remastered is flatter but has much better instrumentation i think.
