Micro-LED TVs are expensive, but C Seed and the car brand Bugatti are taking it to a new level with the launch of Bugatti N1 in 110 or 137 inches.
Micro-LED is a new and promising display technology found in only a handful of TVs in very large sizes. It should not be confused with 'Micro RGB', which refers to conventional LCD TVs.
At its core it is the same technology used for modern LED cinema displays that are slowly replacing projectors, but with even smaller LEDs – micro – enabling 4K resolution on a 110 or 137 inch display at home.
The Bugatti TV
Few Bugatti N1 TVs are likely to be sold, as the Austrian company behind it, C Seed, is positioning it as an ultra-luxury product. You could, for example, place one in front of your panoramic view of Lake Garda or in your personal cave.
The TV is stored in a box when not in use and unfolds in 45 seconds into a large TV. This is possible because the micro-LED display is built from smaller modules. The design is inspired by the Bugatti Tourbillon car and the TV is constructed from materials including aluminium and carbon fibre, the company said.

Both the 110 and 137 inch models offer 4K resolution and 1000 nits of brightness. Built-in speakers are included, though the connectivity is limited to HDMI 2.0.
C Seed previously launched a Porsche-branded version of the TV, available in 103, 137 and 165 inches and also foldable. There are even outdoor versions in 144 and 201 inches, which can be installed on your future superyacht.
As expensive as a sports car
Bugatti N1 does not cost as much as a Bugatti Tourbillon, but with a starting price of $400,000 it costs as much as many other sports cars.
Micro-LED is a display technology that more traditional TV makers are also trying to commercialize. Sony and Samsung started (Samsung with 'The Wall') and since then LG, Hisense and TCL have entered the arena.
TCL has come closest to the consumer market after managing earlier this year to bring the price of their 163" micro-LED down from 110,000 to 36,500 US dollars, though you will have to pick up the TV yourself in China, as it is not yet officially sold elsewhere.

wow, foldable micro-led tv starting price at $400,000 is ridiculously expensive but it does sounds awesome for the foldable screen. $400,000 is probably for the 110" version while the 137" version might cost even more.
some nitpicks are that it can only produce 1,000 nits of brightness but not 10,000 nits of brightness and its only support the much older hdmi 2.0 connections which mean it can only support up to 4k60p video uncompressed instead of 4k120p.
