There is no doubt about Madden 2001 is way ahead of it\'s time, it really hit me by surprise. If I was warped into Madden 2005 I think my jaw would crack on the floor. But there are still things I like to see on Madden 2002, as follows:
-Way more player movements after each play, everybody always seems to do similar things and you get used to it after a while. More camera angles, possibly a way more flexible one that you never get tired of.
-Why does the rest of the team just stand there when 1 player scores a touchdown and you see the QB happy? So far it\'s the people involved in the play who are excited. Lets have a couple of players run to the endzone like NHL and give some props.
-Fix that tackle from behind, where if you get hit directly in the back, the player just curls onto both his knees and falls foward. I\'m sure they\'re also working on a lot more realistic tackles.
-A functional Challenge the play feature. I\'m curious to how that would work into the game considering the fact that you have a percise look in the replay.
-Um, I don\'t see NFL couches falling on their ass on every single game.
-More sideline features, cameras and reporters n such. . .including more realism in the crowd and stadium.
-Realistic gameplay motion, it seems slower than the actual game of football but Madden2k1 seems to fit well anyway. . .if they can connect the graphics with a special more action type gameplay then it would make it seem more realistic.
-Hey since Madden2001 was such a huge leap just out of the blue, why can\'t Madden2002 be almost twice as a leap? I know it probably can\'t double the graphics, but there\'s always a lot more room for tons of improvement.
And since Madden is what it is, my list doesn\'t run down to 100, but I\'m curious to what anybody would want in the next Madden.

they should make it so there is off sides.

I hate when the computer players do not try to dive on the ball after the fumble! The stupid computer drones just run up to the ball. They don\'t dive on the ball, they just reach down and attempt to grab it. I have lost many games because of this stupid occurance in the game! Please EA fix this problem!

first of all, i love this game. Here are a few tweaks that will make 2002 even better. I agree with the above postsas well.
1. faster gameplay
2. ability to challenge calls
3. a mass substitution choice, so you have a 1st and 2nd team

Some new ass commentary, I mean Gameday 2001 commentary was better than Maddens

how about the ability to download last nights game to watch it in the game?
Or updated stats by using the internet :)
Its asking alot, but even with the graphics with the current madden it would be cool :)

Chrono. That would be AWESOME. If EA could somehow do that, i would have a new God. Ok, give me a break, it\'s 12:30 PM here and I am tired as hell. But that is an awesome idea!

Another thing on my list that I forgot to mention is:
-The players faces, they all look like brothers. I can\'t look at any player and distinguish them for who they are. If they could just find a way to map the real player faces and create realistic facial movement.
-A cheat team called the Pornoretts, naked babes with big jugs running up and down the field LOL.

YEAH, get rid of Madden and rename it or something
and change the players head, they all like like they are under magnifying glasses

Yea.. the heads are too big... More realism, sometimes the lineman catch up to me running and it gets me mad, better tackles (the one from behind is pathetic) Better crowd interatction.

There is offsides, you just have to turn off EAsy play.

How bout a lets sack Madden\'s dumb ass mode....
Oh yeah and I am not kidding....a half time show...I mean come on...i hate going to half time and just resuming it right away...doesnt even seem like i am resting or totaling enjoying the game....not to mention it adds realism...

I want a staight up general manager mode. Really in depth off season stuff.

I use the Bucs as a franchise team and I always hate when there is a 10 mile an hour wind and the trees up on the pathway in the endzone aren\'t blowing. I think that would be cool.
I think Modem play will be the best though. I am getting real tired of playing the computer.
The whole challenge thing needs to be revamped. You have to be able to challenge yourself.
Anyone have problems with the penalty meter. If I move the slider up it starts calling penalties on eveyr play. Especially holding. If I move it up 1 notch it freaking calls holding every play. That is annoying ass butt for me. I keep the penalties down which is unrealistic.
Hopefully next year the players won\'t melt into each other on replays.
Can anyone say, NAKED CHEERLEADERS!!!

yeah, there really is no happy medium for penaltes. Either they never call them or they call a buttload of them.

4. Get rid of the "hit button first to bring up passing icons"
5. Control of "where" passes go, not just "who" they go to

the ability for my create-a-player to buy numerous cars, homes, "big screens" etc. (maybe my quarterback could be rollin\' in gt3} hah!
make leslie sound like she\'s actually in the stadium. come on ea let\'s kick butt in 2001...

It already has both of these.
Turn quick pass on and you don\'t have to hit X to get the icons
and to tell it where to throw the ball, you can either hit the Route passes by hitting the L2 (I think). The ball will go acording to the route. Also you can use the analog stick to throw the pass if you like. That is what you are talking about more though.
