i deleted all threads older than 180 days [6 months].
should i delete sooner? say 90 days [3 months]? whats a good time limit for a threads lifetime?

It does appear faster, I thought it was my imagination. I\'d say any threads from 60-90 days would be good.

I\'ve noticed a lot of slowdown. I think it\'s because of the ad banners. I post over at GSCCC and they are slow too because of the ads.

I would say 30 - 40 days. If people don\'t reply to a post in that ammount of time, they aren\'t going to.

The forums are loading faster. Delete the posts after 20 days.

People really don\'t need to view posts after more than 40-50 days.

no one does any searches anyway. You can dump old messages after 2 weeks and be just fine.

thirty days is way more then needed, IMO, but then again if someone is searching to get help and all the old posts have been deleted they can just make a new thread asking the question themselves.
