I noticed that when I\'m playing with my friends that I am the only one that uses the analog. I am the only one? My friends call me wierd :( ...
-
depends what game you are using..if using analog for RRV then i use it..if for sports then i use d-pad
-
I use the D-Pad for about everything.
-
analog is the devil because mamma says so.
never gonna move past 1985. me like d pad DUUUUUUUHHHH
-
Analog\'s the way to go folks, especially for GT and NHL. For a lot of games I use a combination of both, playing the games in analog and navigating the menus with the D-Pad. There are some games that don\'t work with the analog stick well, like all of the Tomb Raider games... Lara\'s a pain to control regardless though.
Pretty much it depends on the analog support of the game, there are some games where it\'s beneficial to use the stick only SOME of the time like RE games or MGS and Syphon Filter (especially for the first person views and lining up head-shots). Other games are just pleasant to use the analog support on like Spyro and the newer FF games, because of the sheer amount of walking around you do, using the stick is easier on your hand in the long run.

I use the analog-stick whenever I can..
I use the analog-stick in Smuglers Run, SSX, Fifa 2001, TimeSlitters(DUH!)

I only use the D-Pad for fighting games. Everything else, analog.
There\'s always an exception however.

I always use the analog sticks. Except for TTT of course.
My brother (who doesn\'t know much about gaming) always uses the D-pad. :)
I guess some people like the \'hard\' control of the D-pad while others like the \'soft\' touch of the analog sticks.
-
yeah, I only use D-Pad for fighting games, analog controller rocks!!!
-
I\'ve always hated joysticks, so I don\'t have a high opinion of using the Analog sticks for movement and interaction with most games. However, the sticks are EXCELLENT when combined with the D-Pad for shooters like Apocalypse and Metal of Honor since they offer far superior aiming control. The rubber tipped Dual Shocks are also much more comfortable when changing targets or changing the direction of fire than the D-pad is.

My younger brother always uses the D-pad while playing SSX, and every time he goes over a bumb he does a face plant in the snow. I tell him that the D-pad is for tricks and the analog is for moving, and he would stop face planting if he uses the analog stick, but he won\'t listen. :)
-
For fighting games the D-pad\'s the perfect choice, but anything that needs precision control (racing games, SSX, Fantavision, platformers), I couldn\'t live without the analog sticks. Well... R-Type needs precision controlling but I can\'t imagine playing a shoot-em-up with an analog stick for some reason.
-
I use the stick for just about everything. Its just more presice, more advanced than the D-pad.I only use the D-Pad with figthing games, wrestling games, and thats about it. Analog is the way of the future,it just bugs me using the D-pad.:)
-
I use the d pad most of the time.
-
D-Pad for the most part, it\'s what I grew up using, N64 was the first to introduce it. I always preffered D_Pad, but analog is good for accuracy.
-
Well, like I said I use the D-PAD. But, that is because I\'ve been using one since the \'golden days\'. Old habits die hard.
