EVERY TIME I PLAY A DVD I HAVE TO CHANGE THE SUB TITTLES
WHY?????

The PS2 does not save your DVD settings. But, I have never had the sub-titles on. And you shouldn\'t unless your turning them on.

Anyone want to add more to this? I can\'t see why the sub-titles would be on everytime he loaded a DVD; unless he was turning them on.

I think it depends on this disc. Sometimes mine are on, and sometimes they are not. It\'s not too much of a bother to hit one button to turn them off though.

CLOWNBOW, I believe Aaron is correct in that certain DVDs are preprogrammed to default to subtitles.  I own "regular" DVD player as well as my PS2, and the regular DVD player performs this *annoying* default just as readily as my PS2.  Just gotta move on...  Sorry.
