Ok i have a new ps2 system with v 2.00 dvd player but it was bought in japan. Where can i go to find out how to overcome the region block and watch region 1 movies? I also never recieved the "utility" disk that i think is supposed to come with the system. Is there somewhere i can get one and is it nessessary?

I am sorry to say that you can\'t watch region 1 DVDs on the new JAP 18000 Model.  The only JAP model able to play this was the 10000 and you still had to perform a button trick. Maybe you can use a modchip, but I dont know, becasue I have a US PS2.
