Could somebody please check the power requirements (voltage) for the PS2. I thought that it\'s good for 100 - 240 Volts and 50/60Hz. It should be called out on the model number sticker on the unit.
I\'m planning on buying one here in the US (if I can!). By the end of the year I\'ll be going back to Europe. I\'ve got a multi-sync (PAL and NTSC) TV already.

If power consumption is your main concern then you should look for the watts rating. My US PS2 says it uses 79 watts. As for voltage, it\'s at 120v @ 60Hz.

You\'ll need a voltage converter. From 120V -> 240V (or 110V -> 220V as some people say). That should do it when you already have a NTSC capable TV. But remember that you\'re \'limited\' to European games and DVD\'s.

The PS needs about 50 W.So if you want to be on the safe side get at least a 100W converter.I also use a US model in Europe and I have a 200W converter and it gets not very hot even when I play for hours.Also the power that the console needs could go up a little bit when there is some stuff connected to the USB ports.
