I predict that Sega still stands on there feet, and shocks the gaming world.
Square will finally speak about developing for X-Box or not. Sony will start sponsoring more events, and Microsoft will try to get some fans in there campaign.
Nintendo are still trying to figure out when to release the X-Box.

I didn\'t know Nintendo was releasing the X-Box, wow what a suprize. :) Anyway, I think Sega will indeed stay on their feet and i think Sony\'s killer aps will put PS2 to the top. I look forward to that moment! ;)

I predict sega is bankrupt by the end of Q3 year 2k1. they have nice systems, they just don\'t seem to have the game quality or the funds to stay on their feet

A big fat bloody war.
...Oh, you mean concerning videogames??
I have no clue:)
-
Oops, I mean Nintendo Dolphin, thanks dude.

-Sega will become a multi-platform developer to try and dig them selves out of the financial whole they\'re stuck in.
-Sony will struggle to keep exclusive games as more and more go multi-platform but will keep strong sales especialy around and after march (around this time will also be when we find out if they can stay on top)
-Nintendo will do whatever neccesary to avoid launching alongside microsoft (Even if it means a 2002 launch)
-Microsoft will come into the market with a strong launch and will be the next system to really break into the mainstream, but will have a tough battle with PS2 (Especially is PS2 can keep some of it\'s exclusives such as FFX)
I think this one is up to the developers. If they all start to move towards X-Box and take away sony\'s exclusives, I think they have a good chance. But I think X-box, PS2, and NGC will all be viable platforms for their whole five years, more so than any other genration due to expansion of the market to mainstream. Just look at Dreamcast, it\'s looking to be the least succesful but it\'s installed base is record breaking for the amount of time it\'s been out.

Dolphin? You mean Gamecube

Hmmmm i think your a little uninformed dude, Sega has the bucks to keep on going even if they continue to lose money (wich is not likely thanks to their new business strategies that will increase DC software sales, btw expect either a RCA, Samsung or JVC dvd player with DC compability some time in 2001) thanks to their parent company CSK (they own Sega and they make about 7 billion dollars a year!!!) so dont expect Sega to go bankrupt any time soon as long as CSK keeps trowing their big bucks at them.
And you right there are no quality games for DC

No quality games for Dreamcast??? WTF are you talking about. Right now we have Skies of Arcadia, Jet Grind Radio, Grandia 2, Sonic 2 Coming Soon, Phantasy Star Online Coming Soon, not to mention the other awesome titles (NBA & NFL 2k1) etc etc. Don\'t talk **** about the DC. It is truly a kick ass system. But, I love my PS2, i just need some games!

I feel the same thing
altough I am not sure to what extent DC will come back
Since they pissed me off by delaying the ethernet thing till 5/10/2001!! There is no way in hell i\'m paying for a dial up when I pay 40 bucks for broadband!
But right now i\'m happy with my dreamcast, but other then Sonic Adventure 2, I don\'t see many titles or RPG\'s out next year... and with the PS2 relaunch in march i\'m not going to want to be playing or rather waiting for the adaptor to play PSO beyond march... I got a DC for the RPG\'s that came out this year, so I was not expecting much of a future anyway (plus it was only 120 dollars :P)

-Developers will start finding out that previous issues concerning PS2 hardware limitations will no longer be valid.
-New announcements of GameCube will be some of the mst impressive.First shots of projects under development for sometime.Hype for GC starts.
-After announcements from Nintendo Sony bring their key titles and some major plans to surface.
-Namco announces first plans for their next gen console.Tekken4 might not be released for PS2 so they can use it for their console as a killer app.Or the release of Tekken4 on PS2 and an announcement of a different fighter on their console
-Sega finding problems with sales and competition.Stragling like they did with the Saturn.Sega will not leave DC dead in 2001.Expecting Sega to leave DC in 2003-4 for a multi-platform support,
-XBOX announcements. Not as good as it was hyped. But still mindblowing. Some MS plans start gamers\'complaints.Especially from PS2 gamers.
