Title: Trouble with saving tokens in Madden 2001

I cant seem to figure out how to save my tokens (for buying Cards) in Madden 2001 for PS2. I start a new season, After the first game I have like 140 Tokens (a pack of cards take 100 tokens) I buy a pak of cards after the game. I have like 40 tokens left over. I save the game and profile.
then the next time i start up madden, i load my season, play the next game on the schedule, then i get like 120 more tokens but when i go to buy the cards, i have the 40 from last time, not the 120 (or the 160 i should have-120 for this game and 40 left from the last game. I cant seem to get these tokens to combine.
Any Ideas.

maybe you loaded over the game you just played or your game is just messed up . you should try an exibition game and see if you can keep the tokens after that game.

GMan2,
When you go to play a game during your franchise mode, make sure you select your madden card\'s profile (that you bought the cards with last time) just before you get into the game (right after you select your controller). Now when you finish a game the tokens/points will be associated with your previous profile and you\'ll be able to accumulate them. I had the same problem before.

also after you buy your cards, make sure you save your profile..
 

By the way, is there any reason to save tokens?  Why wouldn\'t you automatically get cards every 100 points?  Doesn\'t make sense to me.

Man, they could have came up with a more simple way to accomplish this!
Anyway thanks

btw.(for the above post) I need to Save my tokens because if I earn like 140 for a game it takes 100 for a pack. I have 40 left. Its called math :p

I realize that.  My point had nothing to do with you.  I was just wondering why they don\'t just give you your madden cards at 100 automatically.  There is no reason to save 150.  You get cards and save 50.

That also solved my problem, its looks like i wont be having anymore trouble with the madden cards.

What do you do when you want to play an exhibition game and not a franchise game?
