Title: Memory Card Problems!
Post by: UD_Ligr on January 01, 2001, 04:55:25 PM
First off, if anyone read my first post about the parental control setting problems ... I talked to Sony and they told me how to delete the passcode that was in place and set a new one, but there is still a problem. One person I talked to there said you could eliminate the step where the PS2 asks for the passcode before each R movie, and another person said there was no way, and the passcode would have to be entered every time to watch R rated movies. Which is it? If the control guard can be turned off completly, can someone tell me how?

My second problem is with my memory card. Only 1 of the 4 games I have played on my PS2 has been able to detect my memory card. I went out and bought Madden 2001 and when I play it, saving is no problem. When I rented Tony Hawk 2, Gran Turismo 2, and WWF Smack Down 2, whenever I tried to save the memory card couldn\'t be located in either slot. Could this be because those games were made for regular PS or could it be because the games are rentals (Block Buster)?

Lil\' help? Please get back to me, I just started my Gran Turismo 2 garage and this game is too bad@ss to lose.

Ok, so your question was why could you not save a playstation game file on your ps2? thats simple, if you could then why would sony market a whole new memory card with 8 meg features? Fact: you cant save any playstation games onto your ps2 memory card, and vise versa.

I must have Deja Vu..  Or has theis question been asked just about every day.

I was going to mention something about parental control, but now I\'m not too sure.  I don\'t use my playstation for DVDs since I have another player, but I have messed with it before and I have never messed with any parental locks and it played just fine.  I can\'t remember the rating of the movie, wait, it was American Beauty.  That has to be R.  Yeah, with those boobies and the dude makin butter in the shower, just gotta be.

OK, I have come to realize that I am no help since I don\'t have your problem.

:D :D :D It´s usual, the people don´t understand why must buy another memory card for their PS2 if "ALL periferics are compatible".
