Which is better out of PAL or NTSC?
I\'ve heard different from different people. Which is the best?
-
If I\'m not mistaken, I think NTSC has the higher resolution and/or refresh rate. Thus, NTSC is the better option.
I remember vividly some UK magazine complains about the PAL X-Men:COTA on Saturn whereby everything is elongated due to the lower resolution or something like that. Iceman\'s iceball looks more like an egg...

Heh, wasn\'t there a recent thread about this? Anywho...
NTSC = 525 scanlines @ 60Hz
PAL = 625 scanlines @ 50Hz
In the big scheme of things, I would rather be playing games at 30fps (over 25), than to have an extra 100 lines of res. But that\'s just me, you will get differing opinions on this forum. Both formats have their pluses and minuses. PAL is better for movies.

This questino is like:
wich is better, Coke or Pepsi?
It\'s about opinion.
EDIT: Because the difference is minimal

It Is about opinion, and also where you are from. I am in the US. Would I buy a PAL PS2...no. If I was in the UK i would.

Most new PAL TV\'s now support 60Hz playback like NTSC therefore making PAL the overall superior format.
