Title: Sky Odyssey & Midnight Street Club
Post by: on January 05, 2001, 05:38:07 PM

My first two ps2 games were SSX & Madden.  And the graphics on these games were lovely.

Then I went out and rented Sky & Midnight Street Club.  The graphics on both these games suck.  They are no better than playstation 1, especially Sky Odyssey.  They have no business being made for ps2.  Just giving you a heads up.

well i dont know about sky odyseys graphics since i havent seen it..i just bought midnight club and i thought it was great looking with the lights reflecting off the cars..midnight club reminds me of demolition derby for the PS1..you thought it was going to be RR5 or GT3 graphic looking ? i thought so too but then i knew it wasnt cuz its more like a demolition kind of game..but its a awesome game with sweet graphics

Its kind of like

I had 2 weeks to put together my term paper, but if I had 4 weeks it would have turned out better.. plus this is my first ever term paper on this specific subject (ps2 programing)

On top of that this was the first time they were writing their term paper in english (ps2 programing) so its more difficult. Next time when they have more time to write their term paper and know the lanuage better it will turn out better. And get a grade of A instead of D or C

I have been saying this for over a month now.  Midnight crap racing is dull as hell.  The graphics are absolutely awful.  It totally looks like a PS1 game.  The pedestrians on the street look downright stupid when they jump out of the way.

Sky Odyssey isn\'t much better.  Very boring game.  Extremely easy and very dull.  It\'s smooth, but graphics aren\'t intense at all so it better be smooth.

Playstations grahpics are WAYYYYYY worse then Midnight Club. That game is amazingly fun and has good graphics, espescially in the rain. EVerything shines and the street look awesome too, how could you say that?

Midnight Club is very fun IMO. Although the graphics aren\'t the best it certainly does not look like a PSX game. I didn\'t think much of it the first hour or so, but after a while I really got into it. Now I\'ve been playing it WAY more than Tekken Tag Tournament, Ridge Racer V and Dead or Alive 2. Perhaps it isn\'t the best PS2 game (I think that\'s SSX) but it\'s still a good game.

I like midnight club, infact fully completed it now and it is a good game.

The grpahics are basic, ie simple texture repeated and thats classed as a street, however they are detailed.

You only need to play the game in the rain to see the nice work they did with the puddles reflecting buildings.

Graphics aren\'t everything and this game does live upto gameplay however it is slightly repetitive and the only way they made it last long was to make the game hard, which basically ment you had to keep attempting racers. However for some reason i did and enjoyed it along the way.

This game could be holding itself up there with the other top launch titles.
