Title: X-Box/PS2 will have the same games..........
Post by: tHe GaMe on January 05, 2001, 07:57:05 PM: Yep, you heard right the same games. Most of the major developers will be on both systems, PC developers are now developing for X-Box and PS2. 98% of the games PS2 has will be on the X-Box also, there want be many exclusives on each system.

Whatever system u get, you will have the best of both worlds......

Congrats to Sony and Microsoft.

but for real..98% ? then you might as well stick to either X-Box or PS2..i think 50% is a bit too high as well..maybe 25%-30% of the games will be on both X-Box and PS2

Same developers, come on guys, Sony/Microsoft closely have the same developers.

There will be quite a few similuar titles, but Sony as well as MS are securring plenty of exclusives to help differentiate themselves from each other.

Also Sony still has close to 2x\'s as many developers and 2x\'s as many games in development so right there your numbers are skewed.

I think a solid handful of 3rd party games like MGS2, Resident Evil and other well known series will make it across 2 or 3 and even all 4 systems but your 98% number is way way out of whack. I agree to my 50% number is even high but I figirured you wouldn\'t swallow the 35% number.

Do some research and you\'ll see

Post by: on January 05, 2001, 08:47:32 PM: Same developers doesn\'t necessarily mean same games. Take EA for instance. They developed for both PSX and N64, but gave the PSX alot more support. Namco is another example. The PS2 gets TTT and RRV and the Dreamcast gets Mr. Driller.

There is always ports with consoles. Sure they have most the same developers. But, both companies will try and get exclusive titles from the developers.

Ports are common. And some companies do nothing but port, per say like EA?. No big deal.

or then buy PS2 because it\'s year ahead of X-box.

EDIT: and there has been no rumours of Tekken 4 going to X-box. SG just meant ( I quess ) that he hopes that they won\'t decide to produce it to X-box. Right, undead master?
