I got the PS2 at launch here in EU, and I heard many talking about the utility disc, but forgot it when I got my machine. Now I was thinking of it again, I didn\'t get the utility disc! Why didn\'t we in EU get one (or am I the only one :sconf: ).
So what was on the utility disc anyway??
Thanks in advance.

You dont get a utility disc in the EU because every thing we need was all ready built into the PS2, but you do get a demo disc.I think the Japanese got a utility disc because they had to load the DVD drivers on to it,but if i am wrong i am sorry. But be restassured i didnt get a utilty disc, but i did get a demo disc.

YaY! I also got a demo, but no utility disc... Everything was already installed ey\'?
Heh, Europe ruleeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz! :)

The utility disk was only for the first release of the PS2 in japan...other releases didnt need it.

Ookima, I\'m sure you sounded Japanese and I\'m also sure you got a hold of the Japanese PS2 first launch. Did you get a hold of The Bouncer? If you don\'t have it you should! I\'d wish I got myself a Jap PS2 cuz then I\'ll be able to play The Bouncer in English. But then again, getting a £400 (Jap PS2 in London) + £80 (The Bouncer price sold at the same store as the Jap PS2 in London) just to play a single game is just overkill :nut:
