Title: When did this become an x-box forum

Well anyhow did anybody read in the new egm what Ed Fries Wrote ?

Damn !! That is one ****y dude ! It\'s that type of smugness that makes me hate microsoft. This guy thinks "oh we have all the money in the world blah blah blah.... Microsoft is the number one os producer blah blah blah.. we can\'t lose to anyone ... ect. Someone needs to tell him that, unlike the OS industry, the video game industry is driven by competition, not monopolies. While they were doing all their research about what people wanted, they should have gotten a public opinion of the company.
BTW, Every other game they showed for x-box in egm, other than malice, looked like sh!t. These games were..The druid king, new legends, republic, and Yager.

I\'m sure I will get an x-box someday, but I will wait at the very least 10 monthes, and so will alot of the gaming public. I will on the other hand get a gamecube on day one because of commitment to quality and reputation.
I don\'t like the current n64 system or games all that much, but thats just because they are not my style. Fact is though, that what nintendo does it does right.... VERY Very Right!! i.e. getting resident evil on to a cartridge !!!
Well I\'m done complaining now, so if anyone feels like flamin me go ahead cause i can give a rats ass

Post by: Lavan on January 06, 2001, 04:38:36 PM: I have no problem with MS being arrogant, just as long as they can back it up - if they can, then we all win. If they indeed can release four launch games better than SSX and Madden 2001 then they\'ll be doing well. I\'m a big fan of the Motocross and Midtown Madness series\' and I\'m excited about how those two franchises could turn out on the X-Box, same goes for NFL Fever. However, in the more immediate future I\'m much MORE excited about ZOE, MGS2, GT3, Dark Cloud, Ominusha etc.

And now its the "cool" thing. Its really no differen then the Crash Bandicoot ads Sony had, except that they aren\'t doing it via a commercial.

Post by: on January 06, 2001, 05:28:12 PM: What I am tired of is all these x-box topics. Its annoying having tons of these posts that are not about the ps2 in anyway. Most of them are about how the x-box will kill the ps2 or how the x-box is so much better than the ps2. The general public will choose the winner of the console war. 1 out of 4 homes in the US have a playstation, why would they really choose something different?

Exactly, I signed up over at msxbox and it isnt nearly as bad as i heard. quite a few people actually defend the other systems , much as they do here.
The whole reason I started coming here though was for ps2 info so I hope that this x-box thing blows over
