Did any of you guys realize that there is ALOT of hate for Microsoft and the Xbox? every video game forum you go to (except Xbox forums) hate and bash Xbox. In multiplatform unbiased polls, Xbox only garners below 5 percent. Yes, Xbox will have a rocky start, and PORTS DO NOT SELL WELL. When was the last time that Resident Evil nemesis and Dino Crisis became Dreamcast classics? I rest my case.

I don\'t harbor hate for the X-Box. I don\'t know if I\'ll get one, but that doesn\'t mean I hate it. I don\'t really understand why people hate X-Box so much. I don\'t.

When was the last time that Resident Evil nemesis and Dino Crisis became Dreamcast classics?
this is unfair, cause they are both already old games that have been classics on ps1 for some time now. plus they were released at a lower price. so they are just there for people that own a DC and never played the PSX version. a way for capcom to make a quick buck so to speak

I think technicly it\'s looking to be the best console this
generation in terms of graphics plus broadband out of the box and hard drive I\'m definitly getting one. But then again, I\'m getting every other console to.

Animal, you can\'t, well, shouldn\'t anyways, compare ports or older games to ports of current games. MGSX will not be \'old\' when XB gets it, and considering how long it\'s been in development (supposedly), it may come out around the same time. Add to that slightly enhanced graphics, and you\'ve got a winner. And I think you should read the thread about how stupid polls (internet ones esp.) are, they aren\'t accurate.

Xbox will push gaming further. And I am very impressed at what microsoft has shown so far. Regarding system specs including hard drive and ethernet card.
But at what cost ?

I dont think that everyone hates the x box, I think some people hate the fact of what
Microsoft did when they made their controller. Oh and by the way you spelt a lot wrong.

What exactly do you expect? For the Xbox to have a Sony-size fanbase? They can\'t yet. This is their first console launch. The orginal PS didn\'t have a huge fanbase from the start either.
And its only MS that people hate. Not the Xbox system. Its stupid to hate something you have never played.

One of the reasons why people ummm like you and others bash the xbox is because they feel threatened by it and because they don\'t want to admit that they made a wrong choice in a purchase. Its like this all the time.

Microsoft will have to work their way to the top. As sony did with the orignal playstation. If good games are pumped out then up they go.
Halo looks nice. E3 will be a blast this year. And im glad im traveling to LA to see it.

I hate to break it to you, but Sony also has quite a large hate base on the net too. Nearly every non-Sony forum has people bashing the PS2 all the time. The only difference is that the PS2 has a far larger fanbase due to the success of the PSX.. Microsoft dosen\'t have a fanbase outside of overexcited PC gamers yet.
I think Docwiz is right too, only I also believe that for some reason people tend to attach their console of choice to their Egos in the same way sports fans do to their favorite teams. When someone flames a certain console, fans of said console get upset because that\'s a personal attack on them. Sort of like, "Oh, The (Insert console name) is lame? So you\'re calling me lame because I prefer it?"
Personally, I could care less about the Xbox. If it can impress me with enough original and fun games that are only available on Xbox, then I may consider buying it. Who knows when that will be. Although I do have to say that after seeing some good pics of the Xbox, I am liking the design more and more. (Still not as beautiful as the PS2 though)

People often hate what they fear or what they feel threatened by. Nintendo fans are threatened by Sony, so they hate Sony. Many Sony fans hate Microsoft, which means...

I don\'t personally hate X-box, or any console. I just hate the biased fans. I\'m not one, so that\'s the reason.
I hate to see a message wich just reads: "I HATE PS2 ( or X-box, whatever ), X-BOX IS GOING TO BITE PS2\'S ARSE, SORRY-THAT-I-DON\'T-HAVE-ANY-FACTS-ON-THIS-SUBJECT-TO-BACK-IT-UP-AND-SORRY-TO-ANNOY-YOU-WITH-THIS-CHILDISH-STATEMENT-BUT-EVERYONE-WHO\'S-AGAINST-THIS-IS-A-FOOL-AND-I-WILL-FLAME-HIM/HER-TO-DEAAAAATTTTHHHH!!!!!!!
now you get my point. If some newbie comes here and bashes PS2 like that, I\'ll let my apprentice, the Newbie-Basher, potato, do the job... right Potato? :)
