So who do you think will win out of the PS2 and Xbox?or do you think that they will both be successful.
I think alot of PS2 fans are getting worried about the Xbox,because it looks like Microsoft are really going to push the Xbox.
But one thing to remeber is that PS1 had a large user base,also that The N64 was more powerful then the PS1,but the ps1 out sold that easy.Also casual gamers dont worrie about the specs of a system,they know what a PS2 is and will go for that i think,but i do think the Xbox is going to be thrown in your face,as much as microsoft can,but the PS2 has got quiet a head start on the Xbox.
So what are your opinions on the matter?

Eventhough you r in the wrong forum (should be in the console debating forum) i should say that the PS2 will be slightly more succesful as there is more Playstation fans than there is PC games fans.
But i don\'t know....If all the game consumers see the specs for the X-BOX they will surely buy it over the PS2....but also Playstation is well known for it\'s great gameplays in most of their games....
I dunno.. this debate is making me nuts :nut:

Personally I am getting worried of MS winning not the XBOX.If its Nintendo winning the top spot I wouldnt care as much as having XBOX winning.
I have fears of Bill remaining the dominant and reducing the competition(less chances for others to evolve and innovate).

What about Nintendo and Sega? Never count either of these two out.

not only are you in the wrong forum, this is also getting f@cking repetitive, this thing has been posted about a bezillion times, come back when all consoles are released, then ask this question again, for now shut up

Something to think about.. the most powerful console has NEVER won the largest chunk of the market share.
The Commodore64 and Colecovision both beat the crap out of the superior TI 99/4A.
Sega MasterSystem\'s color pallet put the NES\'s to shame. Didn\'t win the war though.
Sega\'s 64 color Genesis consistantly outsold the 256 color SNES until the very end of it\'s life. (Not to mention the 3DO, Jaguars, and NEO-GEO were all flops in the 16bit generation)
The PSX was the overall weakest contender in the 32bit wars, and 72 million users later it\'s one of the most popular consoles of all time.
The 8Bit Color GameGear AND the 16bit Nomad together couldn\'t outsell the 4bit Black & Green Gameboy.
Now I\'m not saying the Xbox will flop because it\'s the strongest.. I\'m just saying there\'s a lot of precedence to break, and it\'s obvious that despite the Ohhhing and Ahhhing.. people don\'t care as much for graphics as they do good and affordable gameplay.

How about this: The console with the best games might win!!! Duh! :D There is a chance that *GASP* both consoles will be very successful. But I guess that\'s still not good enough for the fanboys in here that want the PS2 to rule the whole market. If you have the cash, get both. As for me...read my sig! :D
Btw, if you haven\'t seen the Malice demo, check it out. Still pictures are one thing, but wait till you see this cutie in full 60 fps glory, you\'ll piss your pants. However, once you find out that this game ONLY represents 1/5 (20%) of the Xbox\'s hardware, then you may CRAP your pants. The demo can be found on http://www.msxbox.com. Enjoy!!!

how about you reverend, are you implying you\'re not biased too, with a name like that, even worse, posting in a ps2 forum with a name like that, tell me something, how can a person get so lame to actually have fun in irritating people you don\'t even know, I imagine someone like you, sitting in front of your pc having fun with something like that.

In my honest opinion I believe neither X-Box or PS2 will win I believe that Gamecube will be more successful than both
