Title: How many of you actually has a ps2?

And it was very worth it.

Post by: bd on January 08, 2001, 06:30:50 AM: I also have a PS2 (UK,PAL) and although its fell into some unuse of late the killer apps are on the horizon, thats not to say that there arent any worthy titles around right now - Timesplitters, TTT, SSX - but rather that the real gems will be arriving over the next few months. That and its not too shoddy as a budget DVD player, definately a worthy purchase.

Post by: Hawke on January 08, 2001, 06:59:19 AM: I got one too. And I like it quite much. I\'m gonna like it even more once I get S-Video cables and them great games that are coming out in march. I want a time-machine! The DVD playback is great too, though it\'s got some troubles reading scratched disks (=rentals). Buy one and have a blast. Or wait \'till March and you\'re straight on cloud nine :p

and I think it\'s the best entertainment system, even if the games that are available now are just a beginning...

Think about MGS 2, Silent Hill 2, Onismusha, GT3...

Buy one, you wont regret it !!

Post by: unknown on January 08, 2001, 07:49:09 AM: yes its true i have a ps2 "duh" and it kicks ars, i have like 11 games total and 9 dvds now, it is verey worth it, besides the fact all these launch games kinda suck, exept ssx and the ones i got, "time splitters, summoner, rrv, unreal tournament, ext. they are ok, but all the real fat games are coming out in march, thats only 2 months away so get one

Post by: on January 08, 2001, 08:00:22 AM: i never regreted it, now give microsoft and nintendo a kick in the a55 and buy a ps2, (x-box is equal to ps2 in graphics, but is very bad in games, nintendo is very bad in graphics AND games :laughing: )

And I think it\'s worth it. Games like SSX are awesome, but we\'ll get even more and better games in March. I can\'t wait... The only bad thing is how much money we\'ll have to use... :(

But on a plus note, I haven\'t had any trouble at all. :)

Post by: on January 08, 2001, 10:21:09 AM: I have two PS2s and use both of\'em!! One is a US PS2 while the other is a UK one. I use the US and my little bro\' use the UK. I live in the UK. Actually the UK was a pre-ordered that was thought to be available at March but suddenly, 4th January 2001, on a Wednesday evening a staff from EB at Brent Cross called that my reserved PS2 is available and ready to be collected the next day. It was between a "Wooohooo!!!" and a "DOOH!!!!" Why? because just 2 weeks before that I received my US PS2 that I won from an auction in the US (online auction). And who in the world would cancel their PS2 reservation when you know it\'s available for you!? I bet not even 1 in this forum would do that.
It was between selling it to someone else or use it. I suggest on selling it again but my little brother tends to keep it, after all, it was his money and I can\'t just force him, can I?
So, 2 PS2s, in two rooms, plugged to 2 TVs but no identical games. Yeah, I\'m waiting for that golden month where top games are released come to life (in yer PS2 that is), MARCH.

me too. i have £55 more to save up then im gonna buy one. whats different from me and you is that i already know its worth it .

you wonder how i got so many ? well i waited 14 hours for mine..the other 5 i got from my job [EB] i got the systems before pre-orders..arent i the lucky devil..but dont worry..we still ful-filled the pre-orders..

i got 4 games:

madden
ssx
rrv
and midnight

took me 2-3 months to pay off my credit card bill for the 6 PS2\'s, games, and a BUNCH of anime DVD\'s..

each PS2 costed around $565 tax included..ALL came in a bundle [mine came with system, 2 games, 1 dvd movie, 1 controller, 1 memory card, 1 dvd controller, and a $50 coupon off PS2 games and dvd movies..the other 5 came with system, 2 games, 1 controller, 1 memory card, and 2 year warranty]

I don\'t know why ppl complain that there aren\'t enough good games for it. I play mine all the time and I never get tired of it. I have Tekken Tag(very good game), Armored Core 2(very good, but hard), SSX(cool, yet sometimes weird, I suck at it), and Fifa 2001 Major League Soccar(great game if you like soccar).

I\'ve also got SSX, DoA2: Hardcore, Armored Core 2, Dynasty Warriors 2, Theme Park Roller Coaster, and Summoner. With the exception of Summoner, I have yet to be disappointed with any of the games.

i took a ps2 rgb cable and plugged it up to my 20" computer monitor, i threw in a usb keyboard and mouse, put it upright (vertical). All i need left is a hd and broadband and i have a semi-pc! (oh and i need an i-Link wire, got the cam, looking for the wire)
