      Official Release Date Set For Live 2001

Gamers will be able to get their grubby little hands on EA\'s first PS2 hoops title in a few weeks.

January 8, 2001

Electronic Arts has informed IGNPS2 that the official release date for the company\'s first basketball game for the PlayStation 2, NBA Live 2001, is now Tuesday, January 23, 2001. According to the EA Sports representative, the game will ship to retail stores nationwide on that date and should begin appearing on most shelves beginning on Wednesday, January 24, 2001.
