personally mine is Dain Wei or Cao Cao.
Is it just me or is the Wei kingdom the best in the game.
I also beat it with Taisci Ci.
That was pretty tough.
-
Yes, Dian Wei is more powerful than Lu Bu.Even on hard mode ..its actually possible to cut deep into enemy lines.
The most devastating move of his is the axe throw which could flattened a dozen people.
Xu Chu could have been the best if not for his weight and speed.
-
Dian Wei is my hero, but sadly, I think the guy with the eye patch (his name escapes me) is the best. His Musou attack juggles opponents like crazy, and it\'s super easy to cut down anyone with that one move.
-
Geez, we could start the Dian Wei fan club with all these people. And for the record he\'s my favorite as well (first character I finished the game with.) Guan Yu comes in a close second, though.
-
He was who i finished the game with first.
Hard is very difficult. I played the first level and had a few problems which is pathetic.
Has anyone beaten Lu Bu on hard?

Is it just me or is this the Best game on the Ps2?
Its so fun, and its first generation.
Imagaine what they could do in the next two.

Is it just me or is this the Best game on the Ps2?
It\'s definitely a contender, and one of the games I spend the most time with every week. Even when I take my PS2 over to my brother\'s house, DW2 is about the only game my nephews want to play. People can call it a button-masher all they want; I just enjoy the energy that surges through me every time I wade into battle and cut through hundreds of soldiers in less than an hour. The funny thing is, my roommate was the one who actually bought this game and he never tried it until last week(ever since the launch he\'s been too busy playing SSX and TTT), but he always watched me and my friend play it. He finally tried it for about 45 minutes and when he finished he turned to us and said, "Okay. I\'m hooked. Now I see why you guys play this all the time." And that\'s about the same reaction I\'ve gotten from everyone else that I\'ve introduced to it. This game is pure FUN from start to finish, and that\'s even after playing the game for over two months.
Now if they\'ll only make another one that\'s even better...

I cant wait till Dynasty Warriors 3 hopefully fully taking advantage of the PS2\'s powers. Also i noticed a real lack of any kind of loading time. Do they stream all the info, cause if they do, they did a great job of it and I am very impressed.(just noticed that last night when I played a kilometer wide level straight-through with thousands of enemies with no loads)
Just imagine DW3.......?
-
Yeah, Dynasty Warriors 2 does have a certain "magic" to it.
And Faithdies, I was thinking about challenging Lu Bu on Hard difficulty with my maxed out Xiahou Dun (the "eye patch guy"). That would be the ultimate accomplishment in the game. I\'ll probably try it tomorrow.
It really is exciting to think what they could do with the sequel. Dynasty Warriors: Online anybody?
-
YES!!!!!
EXACTLY!
Imagine playing someone else online with your leveled up character. That would be so sweet. Also, maybe include a level editor with it like timesplitters. That would rock so much. Possibly your own skins like a FPS, it would become its own online genre. That would rock so much. People also for some reason dont like the Soundtrack to DW2, but i love those distorted guitar riffs.

There were definitely some cool tunes in DW2. The BGM of the 2nd level, and the Battle at Chi Bi come to mind as being memorable. I just think a lot of the music didn\'t hype you up for what was coming. When I\'m charging into the enemy\'s camp on horseback, with a full Musou guage at the ready, I think it would be nice to have some cool audio to back you up, since you left your comrades in the dust a mile back. Perhaps for DW3, they can have interactive music, like in SSX. If your morale is low, the music is slow. If you\'re doing great and hacking the hell outta people, the music would get that much more exciting. Those are my 2 cents.
-
That would be slick.
One thing that is pretty cool about DW2 is that you can edit the opening FMV which is cool.
-
If the music annoys you too much(or if you just get tired of it), go into options before you start and turn the background music down to nothing. Then just put something appropriate on your stereo and leave the TV sound up. It mixes rather well if you choose the right music(in other words, don\'t put in Brittany Spears...:D)
And I totally agree that they need to make an online version of this game.
-
WOW my first post here.
My favorite was the dude with the big axe. I have no idea what his name was but he was my favorite.
-
That would be Dain Wei.
He seems to be the most liked here, and probably elsewhere.
Brittany Spears would go great with DW2, what are you talking about Ratlad?
I always am busting "Hit me Baby" when Im in the kick ass mood.
...well not really.
I think they should have included a few different modes.
Like free for all.
That woulda been fun.All the generals like in a big circle with just thier bodyguards, and the last one standing wins.
That would have been real cool.
-
My favourite is Sun Shang Xiang (that chick with two rings), anyone using her? She has good combo attack, although her normal attack range is small...
-
...and the game isn\'t so difficult.
Play as anyone else, you better fight in a large group coz the enemies will wear you down.
-
Xioahu Dun is the best........and the last will be Sun Quan cause i hate the way he screamed...just like a woman...
I almost unlock all character....
-
I never played as the chick.
If you could play as Dain Chan(the chick from Hu Lao Gate) in musuo mode then i would use her cause she seemed cool.
I just beat it with Guan Yu. That makes six people for me.
Havent beat it on hard yet though.
