Title: I\'m cursed! Injured my left thumb so no games for a WEEK!

It was a stupid accident. I was moving a chair out of my way, it hit something and caused a box to fall on my hand - crushing my thumb and causing it to bleed. OUCH! No broken bones - just a torn nail. AARGH! :mad:

I tried to play DOA2 on my PS2 and it was PAINFUL!!!! So I got my NeGcon and played Colin McRae Rally so at least I\'m thankful for something. For you who don\'t know what NeGcon is - it\'s that twisting controller from NAMCO which makes any racing game a breeze(Rally Cross, GT, GT2 and Wipeout 1 and 2 come to mind). :D

Blackened thumb nail....yuck.

Well, now would be a perfect time to get an RPG:) If you don\'t like them, so what! Gotta let that poor digit heal man.:)

I once had a case of "Street Fighter thumb". The skin peeled off my left thumb and it hurt if I put any pressure on it. It wasn\'t too bad but I had to give up gaming for a while. Gamers beware. This hobby is not as safe as it seems!

During this past Christmas week I jammed my \'D-Pad Thumb\' while playing hockey - I got knocked down from behind and basically landed on my thumb which bent a tad more backward than it\'s supposed to. It hurt like hell for a week....but I soldiered on.

We gamers are hard as nails.

Once when playing 5 hours straight of Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast both my hands were numb and I couldnt play for 2 weeks.

I thought id never play games again :(

But after rehab im ok :)

I once fell on a rock at the beach, my hand was seriously cut. Whenever I tried to play a game I moved my hand and it hurt like hell!

I experienced the same thing, too many fireball motions and the skin comes of you thumb!

thats why u should always use an arcade stick (unless you button bash your hands to death)

Wrestling games always give me blisters. I still play, but not with dual shocks(it hurts lika muta futa)

hmmm.. sometimes my thumbs go all numb and I can\'t play for a while, but nothing serious has ever happened...

skin peeled off? well, gaming sure is dangerous hobby... one of the most dangerous :)
