It happened, accidentely. Here\'s how :
I\'ve got my PS2 and other stuff like
the TV plugged into this multi power
box which features a powerswitch; off/on.
While PS2 was still playing I unintentionally
pushed this powerswitch to off. ( I wanted
to move a speaker. )
I was like S**t, clumsy me ! Turned this powerplug
powerswitch to on and PS2 went to standby mode.
This has occurred a few times thanks to my
clumsy hands, BUT my PS2 works still fine !
I\'m posting this \'cause I wanna ask you guys if
something similar happened to your ps2.
I already asked some ppl about this including Aaron
at the mailbag; they say "it\'s not the worst thing to
do,the machine will be alright, just try to avoid this"
and stuff like that. phew !

You should be cool. Consoles are pretty tough. It\'s not like a PC where damage to data can occur if it loses power while writing to its hard drive.
Although I have heard stories here in Australia where faulty PS2\'s damage disks when switched off while the disk is still in the drive. Hasn\'t happened to me though.

Thanks Peppermint for easing my mind.
Though ,I have had no problems with disc scratch errors
or something like that ,happily.

Well, it has happened once; but these things happen don\'t worry.
Sometimes the controller cord has been slipped out from the port causing annoying situations ( and I think some harm to the controller as well ); but my Ps2 has never fallen to ground and I\'m happy about it.
It\'s fine, my black baby, fine...
