Red Zone, the developers of 989\'s Sports titles, are now fully owned by Sony.
Red Zone is now a first party developer for Sony of America. They will still continue to develop exclusively for the Playstation and Playstation 2 consoles.

Sony has announced that it has acquired the developer Naughty Dog. Under this agreement, Naughty Dog\'s 30 man team becomes a subsidary of Sony Computer Entertainment of America, Inc.

Naughty Dog will continue to operate under its current name, and will still be run by Naughty Dog founders (and co-presidents) Andrew Gavin and Jason Rubin, but now they will be directed by Shuhei Yoshida, current VP of product development over at SCEA.

"Naughty Dog picked the PlayStation as the winner in the last generation of consoles before the first unit hit shelves. Our determination to focus specifically on titles for the PlayStation was one of the primary reasons for our success. We are equally confident, if not more so, in PlayStation2. Joining Sony Computer Entertainment America allows us to focus on what we are sure will be this generation\'s premier system."
