You forgot Nintendo sues Daily Radar.
-
Nintendo sues Daily Radar, they stop posting Nintendo news..
Then one day they are covering Nintendo again and not talking about the lawsuit at ALL... Strange if you ask me. I don\'t really care, but I would like to know why and what happens..

1. Here is an official image from SEGA:

This may clear up a few things. An X-box development announcement is expected late this week/early next week. A GCN announcement is not expected until around E3.
BTW, I know the url is from ign.
2. EA is a third party and they are supporting the X-Box more than anyone. They have already pledged support to all of the next-gen systems(excluding DC).
BTW, Is that "butt load" exclusive?
-
You mean EA is supporting the x-box more then anybody else on the x-box right. Cause if your saying they are supporting the x-box more then the ps2 then your on some sorta, who knows what.
Also, take a look the full fake image by gamecube ign and take a look at the far left and right corners... pretty bad quality, this also looks like the kinda stuff IGN makes. Plus have you seen it on ANY other site such as gamespot? Why is it not on sega\'s site, why would that be exclusivly sent to IGN... something is fishy.
-
EA helped design the X-Box. The X-Box was designed based on impressions and imput from EA. Do you read NextGen? It was in there. It was also in the last EGM if I remember correctly. From the consenseus in those two mags EA and MS have a VERY good relationship.
-
lol, so you mean to tell me you are basing your inference as fact?!?!?
FACT: EA has announced they have games in the works for the ps2 then the x-box and gamecube combined
Just beacuse you read a ARTCILE you say thats wrong...
thats all I have to say, think what you want, but your only speculating whats going to happen

WTF are you saying? What is inference? EA announced what? Since it is apparent that you have no idea what I posted I will break it down. It was NOT an article about what the NextGen guys THOUGHT was going to happen. It was an interview with one of the makers of the X-Box and with some guy from EA(I don\'t remember his name). They talked about the relationship between their companies and how much EA influenced the design and schematics of the X-Box.
BTW, You may not be too knowledgeable about the history of a lot of companies. Still I have to ask. How many games does EA traditionally release to ONE console? It hardly ever happens. EA is a third party developer because they know that is where the money is. They inferencially announce that they combine the PS2 and X-box games for Gamecube\'s works. LMAO
-
Where do you get your news from?
Nintendo Refused square deveolping for the GBA
At last!Yamauchi has his revenge on Square? Now what about the rest of us hoping for Square on Nintendo.....
Sega says they will support sony and GBA only... No official x-box\\NGC announcements have been made
Sega said that they will support NGC and X-Box.
Nintendo comments hard on Microsoft... not sony!
YAMAUCHI commented on MS.Thats pretty much a whole differetnt story now.
Crazy taxi\\18 wheeler pro trucker\\sakura tiesen\\house of the dead are in development for the PS2 as well
Can you give me a link where is says Crazi Taxi is a work for PS2?
-
Naughty Dog and RedZone is officially SCEA 2nd party developers.
-
They talked about the relationship between their companies and how much EA influenced the design and schematics of the X-Box.
Actually according to MS, the design of the x-box\\controller was dependant of the want of the consumers who were tested by MS through about 500 families (or so MS said), but EA did have a part in the development of x-box... how extensive that input went is a guess only you and I can make and not assert. Hell, EA\'s input could have stretched as far as including 2 analog sticks on the controller and that\'s something you just can\'t be sure of, so the point you\'re making is pretty moot from the get-go.

Well, you can infer what you want about titles being released for both NGC\\X-Box, but the fact is, you don\'t have any solid numbers, but according to IGN, the announced titles for both the NGC and the X-Box from EA is no more then 7 a piece totaling 14 games in development. However, that may seem like a lot, it is HEAVILY dwarfed by the numbers reported by EA for their PS2 faction and I quote from videogames.com...
Additionally, the company expects to further support the PlayStation 2 with five products in Q4 and approximately 25 games for the console in the upcoming fiscal year.

That\'s 30 games to 14. At least the facts I have are solid for now, but if you can show me a link with both NGC\'s and X-Box\'s EA numbers, I\'d be more then happy to change my statement.
Sega said that they will support NGC and X-Box.
Correct, they said they will support them, but no games, as of yet, have been announced. Thus, no official announcements for support have been made.
YAMAUCHI commented on MS.Thats pretty much a whole differetnt story now.
Not true. In any corporation, if you want something done, you always come to one man. Yamauhi is that man and what he says goes. If he tells Square to go **** themselves, that basically says Square won\'t be developing for the NGC, no matter what any board of directors says.
-On a more personal note, Yamauchi looks like an older version of this huge dork I used to go to High School with... it\'s pretty hilarious, the similarities that is, not the news.
Can you give me a link where is says Crazi Taxi is a work for PS2?
I can give you 6 links, but IGN seems to be the most trusted... http://ps2.ign.com/news/30866.html
I hope that clears up some crap. If there\'s anything else that needs links or clarification, I\'ll be here all day checking this thread periodically.

The article said that EA was very influential in the addition of the hard drive, the broadband adapter and a lot of the specs. I never said anything about the controller and/or the look-and-feel of the X-Box. It is already known that MS based the design on the looks of the consumer\'s gaming setups.

The PS2 has already been released for phucks sake. Every inclination of a game in development is going to be announced to get people to by the system. After E3, the floodgates will be opened.

Do you realise how phucking stupid that statement sounds? "They said they will support them, but no official announcements have been made." LMAO. All they did was say they are supporting PS2 so I guess its not "official" yet.

I don\'t know what "corporations" you have worked in but the board of directors has a lot more pull than the President. Anyone that knows anything about Nintendo knows that Yamauchi is known get up and rant about whatever is troubling him. He is more of a figurehead. Kind of like the Queen of England.

The controller was but ONE example of the POSSIBLE ideas EA had for the x-box dev team. The point is is that you CAN\'T be sure of what influences they had on the damn thing. For all you know, it could be as little as something as the analog sticks for EXAMPLE. Damn man, why is everything so literal with people these days?
The PS2 has already been released for phucks sake. Every inclination of a game in development is going to be announced to get people to by the system. After E3, the floodgates will be opened.
So, now, instead of the crap you were saying about the current information being false, you are now saying it will be false in the future at E3... hmm, I also seem to recall the information we are using right now is factual. Sure, after E3, lots of things will change, but right now, it\'s 30-14, simple as that. Sure, in the future I will have a wife and kids, but how many kids I will have is another story. Analogies are fun.
Do you realise how phucking stupid that statement sounds? "They said they will support them, but no official announcements have been made." LMAO. All they did was say they are supporting PS2 so I guess its not "official" yet.
Don\'t be so mental. I was referring to the games. VF4, crazy taxi, house of the dead, and sakura teisen, just to name a few... I got PS2 actual GAME announcements from sega... from the NGC\\x-box stuff, all I have is "negotiations." Sorry, I can point to numerous articles confirming that.
I don\'t know what "corporations" you have worked in but the board of directors has a lot more pull than the President. Not always true. If this guy was such a figurehead of Nintendo after saying all these things, then they would have gotten rid of him\\fired him LONG ago... but low and behold, he hasn\'t even named a successor but successfully insults Bill Gates in public interviews and yet still runs Nintendo. I dunno about you, but if ANYONE slanders another company in any way shape or form, your ass is fired or at least repremanded, but who will repremand the reperamandee? I\'m sorry, but Nintendo may be a giant gaming corporation that you love till you puke, but I can\'t forgive them for snubbing Square like that all because of a grude.

TheGia???? LOL!!! Please try and find me a less crappy "source" in the future.....I\'m not believing this until EGM, DailyRadar or IGN posts it
-
TheGIA is the lead source of RPG information on the net (along with really huge announcements). Who do you think had the FIRST FFX pictures? I don\'t think some no name source can have that. In addition, magicbox (source 3 on that list I gave you) is an IGN affiliate. You don\'t become an IGN affiliate by posting lies. Also, COmputerandvideogames.com (the second source) is the PREMIERE european website with it\'s own fraggin magazine. If you don\'t believe any of those three sites, then you must SERIOUSLY be on crack.

Oh christ, the forums were better when they were down... nothing changes...
Ryu, EA has as many games planned for the same timeframe with XB as they had with PS2. 0nly 7 games for this fiscal year? Thats identical to their PS2 support ending this past fiscal year... besides, 9 out of 10 EA games are ****. Everyone needs to get off EA\'s ****...
Axl-Heres the real deal on MGSX as it is known right now, no name and uk sites be damned Ryu! http://www.dailyradar.com/news/game_news_6881.html
\'A story on CVG claimed that a press conference took place, in which Hideo Kojima essentially said the full version of Metal Gear Solid 2 would be PlayStation2 exclusive.
"I can confirm that it is a total and complete lie. There was no press conference and their report is completely false," a Konami US spokesperson told Daily Radar today.\'
And Ryu, read the Next Gen articles in question before making things up. Next Gen knows their stuff and said EA had a lot of input. Your example is clearly stupid, and not what Next Gen was suggesting, I trust NG over you anyday.
And about Sega \'only\' being in negotiations with MS and Nintendo (on GC); 1-they aren\'t out, and 2-less than a week ago Sega was \'negotiating\' with Sony. Don\'t be dense.
And company presidents DO have less power than board members, you don\'t know what your talking about. He didn\'t get fired cause he cant stop them from doing what they want, so his comments cant hurt the company. He\'s known for his **** talking. No one takes it seriously.
-
well, i\'m wait a day to see what happens

Only since you got here.
Ryu, EA has as many games planned for the same timeframe with XB as they had with PS2. 0nly 7 games for this fiscal year? Thats identical to their PS2 support ending this past fiscal year
I\'m merely defending the fact that there ARE more EA games that are going to be released. Gohan said there wasn\'t and I refuted his comments, simple as that. How many games that were released in the fiscal year of the PS2 launch is irrelevant when it comes to the information he stated. You can say what you will about all the EA games you want, but he said equal shares and I disagreed, simple as that.
besides, 9 out of 10 EA games are ****. Everyone needs to get off EA\'s ****...
No arguement here. Just refuting Gohan\'s post, nothing more.
Axl-Heres the real deal on MGSX as it is known right now, no name and uk sites be damned Ryu! http://www.dailyradar.com/news/game_news_6881.html
I dunno WHAT to believe about this anymore. Japanese and American distributors of games alike have been having some really difficult times communicating. Just last week SoA denied the rumors about Sega becoming a 3rd party and quitting the hardware business and just two days ago, they retract their statement and say something different based solely on the Japanese statement issued to them. They need to get some better translators or something, but now I\'m getting mixed feelings from both. Three sites confirm the MGS1.5 issue from a Japanese source, and then one site debunks it with a US source. I guess we\'ll have to believe it when we see it either way, sucks.
And Ryu, read the Next Gen articles in question before making things up. Next Gen knows their stuff and said EA had a lot of input. Your example is clearly stupid, and not what Next Gen was suggesting, I trust NG over you anyday.
Dude, define a "lot" of input... For all you know, it\'s something that was terribly insignificant... if you can point me towards what they had influence in, i\'d be MORE then happy to read it. Just throw me a friggin link here.
And about Sega \'only\' being in negotiations with MS and Nintendo (on GC); 1-they aren\'t out, and 2-less than a week ago Sega was \'negotiating\' with Sony. Don\'t be dense.
Haha, but less then a week ago, Sega was a 1st party, it cost 149 dollars, VF4 was a DC exclusive and saturn games were only on the saturn. Things change dont they? Also, games are still not confirmed and until they are, them "possibly supporting x-box and NGC" means nothing to me. We want games dammit as so many people love to point out and so far, Sega ain\'t giving us nothing... grr...
And company presidents DO have less power than board members, you don\'t know what your talking about. He didn\'t get fired cause he cant stop them from doing what they want, so his comments cant hurt the company. He\'s known for his **** talking. No one takes it seriously.
Like saying Bill Gates has no power over MS, just like the former, utter and complete BS.
-
Steve Ballmer runs Microsoft now. Bill Gates is now the Cheif Software Architect. Not that Bill doesn\'t have any power its just that on paper Ballmer is the top dog. :D
-
Correct, they said they will support them, but no games, as of yet, have been announced. Thus, no official announcements for support have been made.
I have to agree with Gohan on this:that did sound a little weird. The announcement was made,the\'ll put games out on all sytems.Basically,that\'s all the confirmation anyone needs, although no games have yet to be confirmed, they stated that they would support the system=meaning that there will be games on them obviously.
Not true. In any corporation, if you want something done, you always come to one man. Yamauhi is that man and what he says goes. If he tells Square to go **** themselves, that basically says Square won\'t be developing for the NGC, no matter what any board of directors says.
Good point. But I was just trying to stress the fact that Yamauchi is a complete moron!I think most of the people at Nintendo were over-joyed when they heard that Square announcement, except for ole Yamauchi. When he leaves(lets hope its soon,he\'s keeping all the GameCube from truly shinning),I would expect Square to jump on the NIntendo wagon again(if they haven\'t gone to X-Box already that is...)
can give you 6 links, but IGN seems to be the most trusted... http://ps2.ign.com/news/30866.html
Thanks for clearing that up.I thought it was all a rumour but apparently not...
-
Ryu-
1-You and others were popping off misinformation/arguing before I came back...
2-Regardless of whoever started the argument about EA, the comparison between unreleased and released systems support, and whoever started the argument/comparison, was wrong to do so.
3-Glad we agree.
4-New(er) info about MGSX: \'Confusion reigns following a report from CVG indicating Metal Gear Solid X will combine parts of Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2. According to CVG, a mistranslation when speaking with the unnamed Konami insider led the magazine to report that the information was taken from a press conference. Since there had been no press conference, the spokesperson questioned the integrity of the magazine. The spokesperson also indicated that nothing has been announced because nothing has been decided.\' (from todays \'24 hour news on Daily Radar)
5-\'A lot\' can mean many things, but it definetly doesn\'t mean 1 or 2 trivial small things. I can\'t give you a link to multiple magazine articles... sorry. I know what I read, and I know and trust what Next Gen and EGM says.
6-Not announcing specific titles is beside the fact that Sega\'s announced they were going to support XB and GC.
7-Gates only has the power that others give him. He doesn\'t technically have the authority, he\'s given the authority. The board can say no to anything they want that Gates proposes. Besides, Gates isn\'t a normal guy.
-
Another thing I tend not to believe are people who claim to have people reporting from the "inside". 9 time out of 10 this means its just speculation.
