I think the movie can\'t be compared with Sixth Sense really, even if many critics are doing it. The movie may sound like Sixth Sense, and the going of the movie is kind of steady and quite slow as was the Sixth Sense\'s.
But the story differs like a night and day, a hero and a villain :)
I\'m expecting you to know the story, so let me just tell my thoughts ( oh yes, it hit the theaters here today; Kokkola, and you may be laughing there where this movie has been shown months ago! )...
It was very good; it was kindof Thinking Man\'s movie. Even if it was surreal the ending hit hard. The movie wasn\'t a horror-movie, like many of my friends thought it would be. I can\'t really file the movie; is it a thriller maybe? But it\'s suspencious; it has been made Sixth Sense style, but it\'s almost better ( I think ).
Still I liked sixth sense better because it shocked quite a times. And the ending was even more shocking.
But if you haven\'t seen Unbreakable.. be ready to get a few surprises...

Unbreakable? Oh yes, I saw that one a couple months ago. :)
I did like it better than Sixth Sense only because that whole seeing dead people stuff freaks me out. The ending in Unbreakable made up for the many slow parts.

my mum saw that about a month ago and said it was a sack of ****e....well not in those exact words.

I didn\'t care for The Sixth Sense, so I have passed on seeing it.
I\'m waiting for Hannibal (comes out the 9th). Going to go see it on opening day.

unbreakable..kinda...SUKCED!!!!!!!!!!!
This phyco kills alot of people to find this 1 guy?He cant die unless its water that kills him???The bad guy if he fall he practicly breaks every bone in his body???
The ending was gay all he did was find out that that guy made all the accidents then it ends!

I understand if you didn\'t like the movie; it was SLOW and nothing really happened... but the ending revealed much and I\'m into these "thinking man"-movies ( I have nothing against slow movies.. Das Boot for example is one of the greatest movies of all time... and lasts 3,5 hours :) ).
And I\'m going to see Hannibal as well, if I have the money at the time Living-in-Clip :) I loved Silence of the Lambs; both the book and the movie, and I\'m very eagerly waiting for the much praised Hannibal... it has had very good reviews, so I\'m eagerly waiting for my own experience...
I always thought the psycho-psychiatrist was a great idea, don\'t know if copied from somewhere, and Anthony Hopkins was perfect for the role!

Shyamalan tried to be too cinematic in many scenes, which caused the tiresome "slow" parts. He\'s still a young and learning director, hopefully this has taught him a few lessons. A movie should always be entertaining, if you try to be too artistic you can lose your audience.

The ending was, How can i say it.. "CRAP"
The movie JUST gets good. Then BAM. It\'s over.
-
That\'s a good comment THX...
BTW. Soulgrind; I thought the ending saved the whole movie from the depths of boredom.. It was kinda stupid, and you could quess the ending-climax, but that\'s okay because it set the movie straight.
But the movie COULD HAVE BEEN lots of better; I mean, it sounded very interesting in the beginning... it shouldn\'t have been about any cartoon heroes \'tho. But it was good movie nonetheless...
except it was so slow I couldn\'t watch it again...

I thought it sucked :)

That\'s what i\'m saying. You JUST find out who the BAD guy is then. POW it\'s over. I guess it leaves it open for a part 2. But really. Would u want a part 2.

Well I thought it sucked.Although I laughed my ass off when the Bruce Willis character was lifting weights and they kept adding on stuff to make it heavier.
And nothing really happened in the movie.

Ever seen ManHunter ? It is the prequel to Silence of the Lambs. The book was called RedDragon. Both are pretty good. I\'ve got ManHunter on DVD. Double disc. Pretty nice. Some scottish actor played Hannibal.
I totally recommend it.
I figure Hannibal will suck--as the book wasn\'t that good. I\'ll still go see it come the 9th though.
