After I\'m done playing i usually just pause the game or whatever and eject it. Then i push the drive back in and put it in sleep mode. Is that correct because it seems a little odd that i\'m ejecting the drive when the game is still running(i take the disc out whenever i\'m done and put it in the case). Do i put it in sleep then eject the drive or what?
-
do whatever you like, it doesn\'t really matter. As long as you don\'t do it while saving you can put it in sleeping mode or switch of the power.
personally I don\'t even bother taking the disk out of the system, I just "put it to sleep" so to speak
-
yep it doesnt really matter unless your saving something then no way, but i also just leave my disks in the ps2, they wont get jacked up, its like the games rightful home

I keep smashing it with a baseball bat, but when I go to play it again, it doesn\'t work. What am I doing wrong?

havent you guys read the manual?
all you do is eject the CD at any time (as long as your not saving) and either put in a new disk and press reset or put it straight into sleep mode.

That\'s right. Like others said, just eject anytime you want to! See, that\'s the benefit of a console (read "stable") environment. And its why I will still be fearful of the X-box. I am NOT an X-box hater. I love gaming...in any form. And I have special games, such as Counter-Strike, that I enjoy on the PC. But the fact is, the PC is inherently unstable...EThugg or anyone else is welcome to argue otherwise...just don\'t expect me to agree. And it is the stability of console gaming that makes me happy I own a PS2...or a DC...or a Saturn...or a ...well, you get the picture...
