Title: There\'s a problem with GameShark2...
Post by: FackinKubuss on February 03, 2001, 12:53:48 PM: I just bought it today and its not working. ITs says "Hardware Not Deteceted, please insert gameshark2 memory card" But the memory card is already in. What happend? What should i do?

Post by: on February 03, 2001, 03:27:54 PM: I think that they were sending new discs or supplement discs to anyone who bought the first gen of the GS2. I\'d wait until second or third gen to get one. Or go read the forums at gameshark.com ;)

Yes I e-mailed customer support at gameshark.com with my info (didn\'t give proof of purchase) and they sent out a new disc 1, version 1.3 for PS2 codes. I haven\'t done a side by side comparison so I\'m not sure if there are NEW game codes, but alot of the codes on version 1.0 didn\'t work, so they probably re-did them.

No, the GS2 won\'t allow you to play imports...well It will if someone could hack the individual code for every game, but since interact did us all the big favor:rollseyes: of not including hacking utilities it may be awhile before this is possible.

Rules a clear. No piracy talk of any kind. If u back up your own games. A simple, "i back up my own games" answer will do. Not a full blown diagram on how u do it. So too speak.

However i was wondering if anyone knows if we will be able to upgrade our gameshark cds or burn our own. because 50 bucks for a cd with only 20 games is kinda heavy especially if you cant add codes when newer games come out.

Post by: bandit on February 07, 2001, 07:48:44 PM: i was going to get a GameShark 2 but after i read the forum at gamesahrk.com about them not having the feature to play import PS2 games..i said "DAMN !!..im not getting the GameShark 2 now"..that was the ONLY reason why i wanted to get a GS2..was to play imports and other region DVDs..i guess i have to wait a lil longer or find another alternative
