Title: HOW Does EA SPORTS make a fantastic Madden but a horrible NBA game?

I\'ll admit, I\'ve never been behind the scenes on the making of these game. But I know for sure there\'s comepletely different people working on Madden 2001 and NBA Live 2001 (or any other EA Sports game). . .but why is MADDEN 2001 SO FAR AHEAD!?!? I mean, like 2 YEARS AHEAD!  Why can\'t the creators have a meeting and say "hey this is the secrete to better graphics. . .this is how we utilized the emotion engine. . ." EA SPORTS are the SAME TEAM! Why can\'t they just put their heads together?. . .Anyone feel me on this?

I guess the some creators are lost in a different heaven.

You know when I played NBA live 2K1 I ask myself the same thing. They should have just scrped the game and created live2k2. Answer this why can\'t 989 make a single descent game.

Bah, in my opinion Fifa 2001 makes NBA 2001 look like a masterpiece.

Fifa 2001 and NBA Live 2001 a masterpiece?  I don\'t think so, not if you really analyzed Madden 2001. . .it\'s so far ahead of those two.  The graphics are way unbelievable.  I still can\'t understand this whole EA Sports thing on how all their games can\'t be on the same level graphically as Madden.

Flamebrain, you misread my comments, I think both Fifa 2001 and NBA 2001 are poor, Fifa 2001 the worse of the two.

This whole EA sports game thing is messed up.  How can you expect EA to produce a masterpiece everytime, that\'s like asking you to get 100\'s on all your test every single time you take a test.  Or like asking you to take the SAT\'s 3 times and getting 1600 everytime... give em a break, THEY ARE HUMAN BEINGS.

WELL THOSE HUMAN BEINGS BETTER GET OFF THEIR ASS and DO A BETTER JOB!  Invest time in a game, they have an ENTIRE YEAR to work on. . then come next year with minor additions? Hell naw, I expect Madden 2002 to be another revolution just the way it came out last Fall.

NFL games are years ahead because they\'ve been making NFL games for more years.  Besides, basketball just sucks.
