Title: some thoughts about the future.
Post by: Bossieman on February 04, 2001, 01:05:10 PM
Now when Sega is gone doesnt that mean that Sony now have a huge advantage. Didnt MS and Nintendo think that the dreamcast should hold down the PS2 until x-box and GC enters. Here in Sweden we have too wait atleast 1 year until x-box enter and God knows when the GC comes.
That is a lot of time to get a big part of the market.
I can see the next christmas in sweden. PS2 vs GBA.
isnt this going too easy for Sony, what can possible stop them now? I have my PS2 and I like it very much, I almost feel sorry for MS and Nintendo. I know I bought the one and only console, the PS2. It feel good now. Very god.
What are Your thought about Sony at this time, isnt this looking too good too be true?

BTW if U live in Ghothenburg sweden and U want a really god DVD picture for your PS2, go too HIFI klubben and buy monstercables s-vhs cable and plug it in. Cost 1000 :- about 110$. The picture is better in games than a ordinary RGB cable. Damn I want mostercables too do a RGB cable.

I think the wars will end up with ps2 at the top, and nintendo right behind, just like with the ps1 era, If you ask me the xbox is gonna be a bit of a disapointment, but we\'ll just have to see what the future\'ll bring us

you know what i find strange is all this time i talk about xbox psx2 and dreamcast, but i keep forgetting about the NGC.
I have this strange feeling that nintendo will have a few surprises up there sleaves. I wonder what we will see at E3. The problem i have with gamecude is it really gives off this kiddie image,i think of it as a toy, plus i have already played mario, zelda, mario kart etc... this time around i would like to see something new from them. DOn\'t get me wrong i\'m sure the mario and zelda games will be phenomenal, but something new would really warrent the purchase of that system.

I don\'t really understand the bad point of nintendo having kiddie games, I\'m not saying i like kiddie games, but why care for them being there, you don\'t have to buy them, as long as they also make \'adult\' games, there\'s no problem for me.

The question is how many adult games are they going to make and what is there commitment to them, and for how long. Also will they be making more of them. Plus will they all be good games???

Again I am holding back on the gamecube until e3.
But let me tell you this, that star wars demo at spaceworld was simply amazing!!!!

sony are doing great with their machine and by the time the xbox is released sony would\'ve had enough of a market to be under no stress whatsoever.
however they could be doing more to get an audience. In england there has been only 1 advertisement about the playstation2, so unless you want to know about the ps2 you wont know about it. That doesnt mean it hasnt been a success in the UK because it has.
