Has anyone ever noticed that when your playing your PS2 for along period of time, that the air blowing from the back of the console turns from cold air to warm air, then back to cold air? Strange huh. You would think it starts off with cold air because the Hardware is not very warm yet, then switch to warm air during extensive use and stay that way until you shut it off. I know I conduct stupid and pointless experiments with my PS2, but it amuses me in some crazy way. Just thought you all might like to know.

As you said it\'s because the hardware get\'s hot.Pretty simple actually.

No, the air blowing from the system starts off cold then goes to hot and back to cold while playing. In other words, the ventilation fluctuates from cold to hot air while the PS2 is in use. Obviously the airs going to be cold in the beginning, but then go to hot, then back to cold while never turning the PS2 off is a little strange.

manwell thats wierd, not that i care about the airflow of my ps2, i cleanmy ps2 regularly though, like every 3 weeks i clean it really good between the cracks and take all the dust off the fan and screen, and lightly clean it every other day, i am going to take care of my 300 dollar "395 dollars when i bought it and other stuff" investment. pluse it keeps it from looking ugly

It\'s called a cooling fan...
when the system gets hot, the cooling fan cools it down...
