Title: US or Japanese Version PS2?

Hey every1, I currently have a PS2 that i personally got when they were released last March of 2000 in Japan. I was one of the lucky few who lined up in Akihabara the day they they came out!! I have the Original Jap Version PS2 with the Multi region DVD player via the 1.00 CD. My question is that i know someone who is selling a US version PS2 here in the Philippines, is this actually a better unit that the Japanese version? Though i had my PS2 Chipped, I dont want to miss the oportunity to get the US Version IF it is a better one than the Japanes PS2. Your assistance will help....Peace

Well i am not totally sure about being better but most of the drivers were improved a little on the US version before release, but they are bout the same machine when it comes down to it.
