Strange, wrong address.
-
I quote:
Three Square executives demoted themselves today because of the feel they have disgraced the company by producing negative financial earnings. Among the three was Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series. No changes have been made on the development end.
-
Hmmm... the link showed us interesting news indeed. But was that wrong info?
Glad that no changes are done \'tho.
-
I copied the adress and then those sega and square news came up, the one I wanted to show was the one, with the guys that quit from square because the company didnt do too good this quarter. they are soo strange.
Hmm, I think I quit my job because the companiy I work for are having a hard time. NOT!!
-
But Square has to sell well! think about FFIX. It broke all records for a Playstation game!
I\'m quite confused.
-
There could be other reasons for Three Square executives demoted themselves, but as it stands it couldn\'t be due to a loss of ernings unless the development of FF games it too expensive
-
This should clear thing up.
Three Square executives have accepted the blame for Square\'s deficit this quarter, ending in March. According to a Famitsu report, Square will fall into the red for the first time since its founding due to investments in Playonline.com and the Final Fantasy movie. Also for the first time, the company will not offer dividends on stock.
In traditional Japanese corporate fashion, the three executives have resigned their positions and accepted more limited positions working with the company. Tomoyuki Takeichi, the former managing director and chairman of the board, has become a contracted advisor. Director Masatsugu Hiramatsu will continue as an executive official. The third executive, Hironobu Sakaguchi, a managing director and vice president, will remain with Square as an executive producer of games. In this role, he will continue to develop the Final Fantasy series.

FFIX didn\'t break any records. In fact,it didn\'t sell nearly as well as everyone expected it to.
I don\'t see why these guys are stepping down. There making a ****ing movie,of course there gonna lose money. There losing 30 million alone on the FF movie correct?
-
it didn\'t sell well?
Then I heard wrong info... I read on a certain magazine that FFIX broke all records in Japan.
And I didn\'t read wrong. The magazine was wrong then I quess..
