Less skillful gamers will be able to start the game with the tranquillizer gun as this makes less noise.

Also, if the gamer takes a hit, a trail of blood will lead the enemy to where the player is, unless the blood flow is stopped in some way.

Hurry up and release ZOE !!!! Errr I mean the Metal Gear 2 demo.

But you can get people to surrender and then drop thier equipment and then tranq them if you want.
Its a neat feature.

One finnish magazine said that Hideo Kojima announced MGS2 to have whopping 15 hours of playing time. I laughed. Could this be true?

I heard the demo is quite large ( hour playing time is quite much :) )

The overall game will take anyone on average between 15 and 18 hours of play time while the demo, through the shortest path, takes 15 minutes while an hour can be spent exploring all the areas instead. It\'s technically a 15 minute demo, but you can sit and play it for hours because of all the things you can do with it. My favorite part is going to be finding all the little idiosyncracies about the demo like where i can get the best bottleneck for the guards and kill them the easiest. Kinda like boxing myself up at the end of a long dead end corridor, muwahahahhaaha!

Post by: Ryu on February 13, 2001, 07:46:22 AM: I still remember the old bottle neck I found for the first MGS demo in an OPM magazine. It was at the top of the stairs near the search light. I\'d clear out the guard at the top of the balcony, then go down to the camera at the bottom of the stairs, walk in front of it, then head up to the top of the stairs and wait. Guards would file up and i\'d kick them right over the edge to their deaths. Pure comedy. heh, i\'m one sadistic ****er :)

Post by: ooseven on February 13, 2001, 07:49:11 AM: He he i can wait to use one of the Gaurds as a human shield, acorrding to some of the stuff i have read, the other gaurds will either shoot him or back of if it is a squad leader.

plus if you deck a squad leader , you can just back off a bit as the rest of them start to make a @rse of things seeing that you have just wasted there leader :D.

But I think MGS2 should be larger. But I think we will play it for hours after hours just to get every possible little secret out of it.

And, to another subject ( still considering MGS ); is MGS worth a purchase and experience even if it\'s little short?

People spend 20-30 dollars on DVD\'s nowadays and all you do is sit and watch, why not a game that you can pick up and play for at least 15 hours over and over again for just 15-20 bucks more? Come on, length should NOT be a factor in a purchase. If MGS2 was 50 hours long, that would be great, but too lengthy for a mission that is supposed to last less then 24. I mean, how long can it take to retrieve a walking battle tank that\'s only a few feet away.
