Title: Who here\'s getting the GBA?
Post by: Ryu on February 13, 2001, 01:25:30 AM: I know for sure I am since I have a copy of MGS for the GBC (my GBC was left on the train so it went bye bye) and the GBA is backwards compatible with all the GB and GBC games so the GBA is a must have. I can\'t wait for a lot of its games and hopefully, Square will find a way to get those FF titles on there soon... (and maybe even chrono trigger ;)) For the misinformed, the GBA\'s release date is scheduled for June 11, 2001.

Post by: SonyFan on February 13, 2001, 04:05:55 AM: Not I. If I get any future handheld, I\'ll probably get the Sega Nomad.. which is basically a Sega Genesis shrunk down to the size of a GameGear. It\'s got a HUGE library of games since all of the Genesis\'s titles work with it.

Sure it\'s a little less powerful.. but the games kick ass and I\'ve wanted one ever since they first came out. Plus it\'s got a few options that aren\'t available on the GBA, like a back-lit screen. Batteries won\'t be cheap for it, but there\'s gotta be alternate powersources out there. Batterypacks, converters for Lithium Ion batteries, stuff like that.

But I\'m happy that I\'ve made my choice. PS2 it is. But if I win in lottery or get money from another source, I\'ll buy GBA because I\'ve never owned a handheld.

i have heard about the wonder swan color but don\'t know much about it.

how will it be compatible with the PS2 - will it be like a color Pocketstation or what...kinda got me interested.

That would rock as a color pocketstation type device. Or even if you could plug into the USB and play the WS games on your tv, with ENHANCED graphics. :)

I\'ve never enjoyed Handhelds either, but with CastleVania and F-zero, I can\'t help but be excited.

The two, imo, go hand-in-hand so it\'s a necessity for me. :) I wish they would hurry up and confirm FF 4, 5, and 6 though. I want my FF fix fast and the WSC can\'t handle the mode 7 graphics of FF6.

Yeah I\'m getting GBA. How could I not? I loved some of the GBC games(even though I never owned a GBC...thanks emulation ;)),so I think I\'lle enjoy the GBA. Besides it\'s got tons of games coming out for it,plus it connects to the NGC.

Oh,and GBA will not come out in July for the US people. It will come out June 11th.:D(official release date)

Once upon a time there was a console named Snes. It was the best console for a little kid like I was. I loved it. So I grew to love the wonderful games of Nintendo. And I still play those "kiddish" ( hey, what does that word even mean? :) ) games, and they don\'t represent kiddishness, they represent the magical atmosphere of gaming.

To get those old memories back, I\'m going to get GBA ( again if almightygod funds me ). There\'s going to be such classics as:
F-zero
Starwing ( dear loved one! we\'ll be reunited! )
Mario Kart Advanced
Mario Advanced
Zelda
etc.

And I love handhelds for few reasons. First of all; they\'re easily brought with you. I\'d love to get me a handheld console to Israel, but I don\'t have one and not enough money to buy one at the time. GBA will change this thing.

Secondly, I love to go wherever I want in my house and play a console; now I don\'t have to sit in front of TV and argue with my family when I can play and when it\'s their turn to watch tv ( as most of all don\'t have too many tv\'s ). When I get GBA, I can just go to my room, lay in bed, and play my favourite Snes games ( enchanted ) and enjoy.
