Gameplay. A common argument that PlayStation 2 cynics would often make was that Sony fans were not yet sure of how Z.O.E.’s gameplay is and that it may be over-hyped. As of now, all of the arguments in that criteria may be put to rest. Z.O.E.’s gameplay is all that we could have hoped for in a PS2 game and is definitely not over-hyped. Personally, it is quite difficult for me to explain Z.O.E.’s gameplay. A quick way of describing it is fast-paced Dragonball Z-like fighting with Gundam Wing-like action and Neon Genesis: Evangelion-like mech designs. Hopefully, all of you Japanese animation aficionados (*cough* Nu Gundam and Rhys *cough*) should be able to comprehend what that means. Within seconds of holding the Dual Shock 2, you will already be playing like how the mechs fought in the trailer (no joke!). Surprisingly enough, the controls were very simple to get the hang of and are very easy to use. Gameplay is mainly composed of using the analog sticks, square button, circle button, R1 button, and R2 button. It’s always fun to move left and fake out your enemies by thrusting right and slashing them in half from behind. Another major positive note is that if you are close enough, you can freeze your enemy in place and smack them through a building or a wall by pressing the circle button. You can also execute special moves by using the L1 button and pressing square at different distances from your enemy for different combinations (sword special moves and laser special moves). You can also collect unique items which allow you to perform special attacks which is also a great addition to the game. The atmospheres are fully interactive which adds to the overall joy of gameplay (In other words, you can blow up just about anything on the screen).:D Great!!!

omega boost ?
was that a PAL UK Release ?
beacuse i think i might of missed that one ?

No, this game is hundreds of times better then Omega Boost. Omega Boost is a shooter on rails pretty much throwing a pre-specified number of groups of enemies at you much like that of most 2D shooters like Einhander or gigawing. ZOE is COMPLETELY free roaming with it\'s only boundary being the fact that you\'re inside a dome. Otherwise, ZOE\'s gameplay is its own bowl of nachos. Don\'t even compare them because you\'re just negating from ZOE and it\'s wonderous gameplay.

oh that omega boost , i remember that now that realy crap rail line base shooter, and yeah your right ZOE is nothing like it Thank GOD !.

I liked Omega Boost a lot.And I ve always wanted a game similar to it with better features and bigger in lenght.Something like a sequel.
But by judging from BizioEE\'s post this is 100 times better than what I expected to a sequel.
Face to Face sword combat!!COOL!!
This could be the best and the most revolutionary mech game ever.

So its not like Oni where is takes hours to master the controls, once you do the game is pretty cool. I want good controls, good graphics, good sound all in one game. Imagine that, now that would be cool..:D

If Oni had the camera that ZOE has Oni would have been a much better game. IMO.
The camera system for ZOE is definetly a next gen acheivement

I am psyched about this game. Looks to sweet. I don\'t think there is much chance of this game turning into the bouncer.(overhyped then really not too good from what i\'ve heard) Those movies just make it look to good.
-
yup ZOE will definitely rock, already got my preorder for it. =D

I want to order this demo but the only site that has it is Buyrite! I don\'t really want to order anything from them. bad experiences in the past.
