I was very good, Final Fantasy movie trailer was superb, demos were excellent, and game trailers were decent. Can\'t wait for next disk!
-
What demos where on it?
-
I got mine today too. The ff movie trailor was good. but the playable demos were pretty much worthless to me because I\'ve rented all of those games already.
-

All it is , is launch games. Its no big deal. It makes a good coaster. Not much else. Tho\' mine isn\'t even a coaster. Instead, its laying in my floor.;)

Got mine a week or so ago.. played the one game I did not try in MediaPlay before the PS2 launch. Now.. it rests on top of my PSX games.
-
What have been included as unplayable/rolling demos?
-
Unicron!, the non-playables include:
- FIFA 2001 Major League Soccer
- Summoner
- Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2
- Final Fantasy (movie preview!!!)
Lucasbiggins was correct on the most of the playable list, but additionally you can play Wild, Wild Racing.
And, with that, as you can see Living-In-Clip is correct that this disc simply demos the launch games. Bummer...but highly expected.
For the record, I live in Richmond, VA, got my PS2 on Oct 26th and sent my registration card in on same day...

I sent mine in three days after the launch I believe. Just got the disc last week. Waited all that time for something that really wasn\'t worth a damn--\'cept the FF trailer.
To say I\'m a bit upset, is an understatement.

They should send demo disk out monthly, it would be great if they let us demo games that are in the works, not games that have been out since launch.
-
i got mine about three weeks ago - i was one of the first to get it hell i was the first to post the diappointing news about it just being luanch titles

The games might have sequels by the time you get your disk.
-
Well I already have:
Armored Core 2
G-Saviour
Kessen
Mobile Suit Gundam
Onimusha
SSX International
I know the AC2 sequel will be out soon. Z.O.E and RE:CV will be out next month. Dropship and Ace Combat 4 will be out later. I\'ll be good until I get the disc. :D
-

Its not a bad idea, but I suspect it will never happen. In my opinion, that would *always* tend to work to the disadvantage of the marketing crew and the companies that make the games. Fact is, most demos that are "in the works" are hosed up with bugs and such. Imagine your gut reaction to playing something (unfinished, but regardless, unplayable/ugly/non-cohesive/etc.). You could tell yourself all day long, "oh well, this is just the beta...it will be good by the time they work out the bugs..." Know what? Somewhere in the back of your mind you will stay decidedly guarded/reserved about the likelihood that it will prove to be a decent game. With your guard up, you\'d likely disregard the game for something else on the shelf.
At the same time, you could argue that that\'s to the advantage of the gamer (and you would be absolutely right)...but that doesn\'t sell poor games! Suckers make for the sale of poor games...plain and simple. The beta-demos won\'t happen. But if you don\'t want to be a sucker, then you keep up on the news, and you rent before you buy. That renting thing sux wind cuz the games hit rental stores well after they\'ve typically hit retailers shelves...but hey, $50 is $50 and I don\'t ever want to throw such funds away on crap. So I get as smart as I can, listen to the beta-testers that get to preview the games on sites like ign.com, and I rent before I buy (unless the 1st two issues leave me absolutely sure I\'ll enjoy the game).
Anyway, good point BillyGunn; just doubt we\'ll ever get to take advantage of it.
