Post by: BizioEE on February 13, 2001, 02:35:13 PM
Vodafone Group and Sony Computer Entertainment have forged an agreement; the terms of which will eventually enable consumers to acquire games via Vodafone\'s mobile phones. During the initial stages of the partnership, Vodafone customers will be able to receive cheats, hints and codes simply by connecting the product to a PlayStation 2. Eventually, developers will have the ability to make games available through third-generation networks. The service will be available in Europe before being introduced to the rest of the world.

"This is the first building block toward a very exciting, long-term partnership that we believe will help develop our wireless gaming strategy," commented Paul Donovan, managing director of Vodafone UK!
