I just got to 800 yesterday and now I\'m already on 857. At this rate I can hope to get to 1000 by the end of this week. :D
-
Hmmm... I\'m sure you will.
And you\'ve spent more time here than off-computer I think :)
I have nothing against it \'tho. But you\'ve worked, that\'s for sure. Congrats anyways; you\'ve achieved the up-beat tempo. Now keep it up and you\'ll probaply get that 1000 posts soon :D
-
yea me too - i was at 300 last week and now i am at 600 or something like that - i plan to reach 1000 sometime in the next two weeks
-
I was 900 like ,over a month ago and am still not at 1000 yet.
-
I seriously don\'t care about how many posts I have at all. No offense, but I just don\'t see the big deal. I mean sure, if I hit 1000 I\'ll get myself a pic but I won\'t make any big thing of it.
-
it really isn\'t a big deal to me eiter
i just want to see how fast i can post so i set a goal for my self
i could care less what other people think about my post count
-
yeah i know, i wasnt saying you guys are spamming or anything, i think you guys are all really good posters. I was just giving my opinion.
-
Hmmm... now if I think of it, the post-count doesn\'t mean much to me either. Many great posters have less than 500 posts and that doesn\'t make them any worse.
Usually post-count just shows how long a person has been here or how often he/she posts. I for one haven\'t been so long ( almost half a year \'tho ) but I have over 2000 posts already.

That is what I done. Waited until 1,000 to get a picture. Was in no hurry to get to 1,000 either. Though, I did get there rather fast.

Riiigghhttt. That\'s why you have a 2000 post topic down below this one?
-
Life\'s little pleasures Aaron :)
I just made it BIG, \'tho it isn\'t. Just had this feeling called fun Aaron ;)
everyone before me has posted 2000 posts -celebration thread, including mm, so I did it too as a tradition.
But I don\'t judge anyone by a post-count.
-
I have done 100 post in 3 days, Im on the way to 500!
-
I really don\'t care about my post count.
A person is more than just the number of his posts dammit  :D

I probably shouldnt fool myself. When I hit 500 I\'m sure I won\'t be able to resist a pic. But I\'m not gonna get a pic just to get one. I have to find something special. I know some people who start looking for thier pics before they even have 100 posts. It\'s pretty obvious then what people have in mind when they are here.
-
Joyda: I see. I was just pointing that out. 1000 or 2000 is a good enough reason to post I suppose. Anything less is obnoxious, unless you are asking about a picture or something at 500.
-
All that matters is how long you\'ve been here and how often you post, you could spend 24 hours going post crazy, which would be unbelievably insane and not come back for a week. Every site has what we call "REGULARS" people who are there all the time to help a cause. I consider myself a regular, and many others on this forum.
-
I do. And I think everyone will agree with me.
-
I\'ve been here a lot longer then most people. Yet a lot of people are catching up to my post count very fast.. Makes you wonder.. SPAM or No-lifes?
or plain boredom.
-
well Darth Joyda from 10-30-00 to now accomplished over 2000 post, BUT he did not spam... and I still think he does other things with his life... maybe he just has a lot of time on his hands.
As for me, I come and go, I\'m usually ere in the morning and at night, weekends are good as well. Spam, never(maybe), but I am involved alot at school, sports, and work.
-
darn billy. aren\'t u at least gonna comment on my postal(?) progress?
-
I have a comment, and it is: Don\'t spam. Your response of "Heh" to FaithDies thread is not what we are looking for here. I don\'t know if there\'s some contest to reach 2000 or whatever next, but there has been boatloads of this going on lately. Settle down people, sometimes less is more.
-
AHHH DAMNIT!
He looked at my thread but didnt answer my question
Ah well, some mod will answer eventually I guess.

well for me it is plain boredom - i live in a small city and i am stuck at work and school - plus all my friends have moved away for college
also i have had a lot going on in my life and my computer is my escape from it all and lately i have wanted to escape a lot more often
i do not spam - sure i sometimes post one sentence posts - but that is because that is all i need to answer a question or get my point across
i have never answered one of my posts like this: :D or LOL!
i just don\'t believe in it - i have seen a lot of regulars since i joined go through a phase where they want to reach a goal of posts - it is just something that happens - don\'t know why but i am just gosh darned determined to reach 1000 posts and after i do i will probaly calm down a little
but i do not see what the big deal is because i have even seen mods here post like crazy or spam
thats just how i feel about the subject
-
Oh yes I do lots of things in my life wich has nothing to do with computer :)
But certainly, every free hour I get, I come and post. That\'s just pure addiction.
One great news in my life is that I\'m going to be official \'athlete\', or official \'boxer\' soon as I\'m going to get my license! And then the matching starts.
I\'ll inform you when my first match is going to be, so that you can keep thumbs up for me.
And there\'s school. I\'d probaply have 5000 posts now if there wouldn\'t be school. Then this would be boredom.
-
well here is to hoping you become a great boxer
so how long have you been boxing or training i should say?
yea once i transfer to LSU next semester i doubt i will have time to post much and you will probaly not see me too much then - but that is a long time from now
-
Only 3-4 months :)
But that\'s okay because I\'m not quitting the sport; I\'ve become addicted to it somehow. Boxing is the best way to release the anger inside you. I suggest that yo don\'t hit your sister, but go to boxing and hit your friend.
The satisfaction is great when you get a combo trough your friend\'s, or opponents, offence. It\'s just great.
But sometimes you can taste your own blood \'tho. Don\'t get too c0cky ;)
I think I suit as a boxer well. I have quick reflexes, like boxer should.
-
Yea i took some Karate and enjoyed it a lot - iwas pretty good too - my sensai wanted to take me to some competitions
but i ended up quiting 2 belts before black
yea the karate was called Tang Soo Doo - mix of something and Tae Kwon Do - if i remember correctly
i think i might have to get in karate again - it was fun and plus i liked sparring on tuesdays - that was cool - i was one of the main guys that had to fight people all during the class
ye ai excel at kicking - even made up some moves in class
-
That\'s cool :)
I made my decision between Karate, Ju-Jitsu, Kick-Boxing and boxing. I wanted to become a boxer and I want still. It started as an \'experiment\', but became a \'hobby\'. Maybe sometimes I take another sport, such as karate; wich is more self-defence than boxing is ;) . But not now, as I\'ll have to practise and excersize a lot to become a good matcher.
My cousin was Finland\'s youngest black-belt achiever in Ju-Jitsu, and three-time finnish champion. He\'s very good but he never went worldwide. He didn\'t want to.
But I remember how much he ate food... :)
-
bah.. freestyle martial arts all the way. :D
-
What freestyle martial arts do you \'fight\' then SoulGrind? :)
Boxing is just fine for me. The main thing is that you got some sport and you can eat whatever you want. That\'s the point.
Maybe I\'ll get a martial art someday, like I said, but these days I\'m too busy.
Ju-Jitsu is the \'father\' of Karate and those modified arts, so I think if my cousin would take a match with you SG... I\'d bet on my cousin ;)
